This set is cheap and tiny, yet it works. That's pretty good! Picture is excellent. No, it is not HD, but this is a seven inch screen; you're not going to be able to see a high resolution on a tiny screen like that, so why bother? The built in audio works. That's about all I can say for it. The speakers are tiny, after all. But the tv does have an earphone socket. Again, because the screen is so tiny sitting close enough to use ordinary plug in headphones or earbuds is not a problem. The remote works, but the tv's responses to it seem sluggish. I don't know how reception is on the included little external antenna. I did get a few stations with the built in portable antenna. I am using the set with an amplified antenna which came with its own power supply, but I don't need it; the TV has an option in the menu to turn on 5 v power to the antenna cable, which will drive an amplified antenna from the TV itself. That's a nice feature. The big annoyance to this set is what I believe to be a software problem. I have seen reference to it in other reviews. Also, I returned the first of these sets I had because of this defect and the replacement has it too, so I have to conclude it is a problem with the design, manufacturing, or programming that affects many or perhaps all of these sets. That problem is the alternative audio stream plays instead of the main one, and there is no way to set the main stream as the default. In my home area, the main audio stream is English. Not all stations have an alternative audio stream; if there isn't one, the set plays the main one just fine. Where there is an alternative stream I have heard three things. One is a Spanish language audio stream. One is a stream with spoken narration of the actions on screen, for the benefit of the visually impaired. But most common is silence; the station is set up for an alternative stream but is not actually sending one. To switch out of the alternative stream one has to press a button marked AUDIO on the row of remote control buttons second from the bottom. This brings up a menu where one can toggle from the alternative back to the main audio stream. Therefore, the TV can still be used with the primary audio stream. But when I switch channels and switch back again, or when I turn the tv off and on again, it is back on the secondary stream. There seems to be no way to get it to stay where I want it. Believe me, I have tried everything I can think of. This doesn't stop me from using the TV. And given the low price of this unit perhaps I should have expected there to be some problem. But if I had known of this problem in advance I would have cleared a bigger place on my desk for a TV, and would have spent a few bucks more for something that behaved better. ... show more

The sound is a little tinny. I have not had it long enough to test out battery as I am using it upstairs in my house. Antenna with magnetic base is tiny but powerful; -better reception than my downstairs air TV. Easy to program the channels on the remote's search button. Instruction book not really helpful and serves several models. Confusing. Statements like "Do not place...near curtain or explore to sunshine or wetly place" indicate translation problems. I decided to wait a while to write a review so I could get some use out of it. A few things to keep in mind. It’s NOT an HD TV. The main reason I purchased this TV was to test my vintage video game systems since I have so many to test out like old Atari 2600’s and mostly pre-SNES period systems. The TV comes with a coax cable for easy hooking up of my old systems. You can hook up old Ataris on modern TV’s but this makes it easy in the man cave to not have to carry them back n forth and takes up little room. I started using the TV for watching games and other shows using the built in digital tuner. I’ve picked up tons of stations with this little guy and love it’s new role in the man cave. The picture isn’t HD but good enough to just have the game on while I’m working in the cave. I’ve pondered the cons about this TV. Not many but a few. First off in the menu it says you can update the software. I’ve searched high and low and there is no website or customer service that I can find for this brand of TV. I don’t think that’s much of an issue but one issue that drives me crazy is that certain stations will default to Spanish even though I’ve gone into the main menu and made English the primary language. So every time I switch back and forth between games the Fox station defaults to Spanish. Not sure if a software update would help but it looks like that’ll never happen since there is no support for this brand. You can also plug in an SD card into the TV to listen to music, watch videos or view pictures. The videos don’t come out great so it’s pretty much just an extra. For me this TV has performed well over the past 6 months for what I need it for. The battery lasts a decent amount of time but I never have put it to the ultimate test. If you need something portable or something that doesn’t take up much space then I’d suggest this TV. If you’re looking for 1080 quality picture then this is not what you’re looking for. ... show more

I wanted this to have in case electricity goes out only holds a battery charge for 45 minutes. Not the best sounding and get a long extended antenna the little one that comes with it needs to be upgraded

This is the coolest little electronic gadget I've bought in quite a while. Plugged in the provided antenna and with 5 minutes it was up and running, finding over 30 local digital TV channels. The sound is not that great, though it can be tweaked using the menu options. I chose to plug the AUDIO out connector into my stereo and it sounds fantastic.
