  • Nice MIG welder, needs better manual
Pattern Name: MIG-140LED
This is my first experience with a MIG welder, but I've been stick welding for over 30 years. It comes with a ground cable, a stick welder electrode holder cable, and a MIG welder gun. It is suppose to have two tips for the MIG gun, but there was only one. It can use .030 or .035 flux core wire. It's advertised to support lift TIG, but the TIP gun is not included. The machine is small 5 1/4" w x 8" T (including the handle) x 11 1/2" L. Its a fraction of the size of my stick welder. It does use standard 110V, 20A. I had it on a 15A plug with no issues. I do not like the manual that comes with the machine. It is lacking in substance (information) and very broken English. Most welding machine provide starting settings for various material. There is none on the machine nor in the manual. There is a small chart on the bottom of the unit with 60% and 100% values. You need to buy flux core welding wire since it does not come with any. Using welding coupons, it practiced running a bead and laying down some dimes. After a few test runs I was able to find the right settings (amps & volts)(wire speed is automatic), speed of my weld and method. Welding is easier than with a stick welder. I got good penetration in the 11 gauge (3 mm or .11") steel coupons. Its a good little machine. Perfect for occasional welding or fabrication in the workshop, farm or ranch. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because of the poorly written manual ... show more

  • Great for the price
Pattern Name: MIG-205LED
Settings are easy. Directions are clear on how to use. Comes with mig lead, ground cable, stick lead and gas line. Used with flux wire non-gas and works well. Lays a nice bead. Great for the money. Would recommend.

  • Out of the box did not work
Pattern Name: MIG-205LED
Pretty face and lights but that’s all nothing else worked got a little spark once but that’s it. Sellers will take their sweet time about giving your money back . Would not recommend this company or this welder to anyone.

  • Been 20 years since welding. For the house it's not bad.
Pattern Name: MIG-140LED
Like the statement says at the beginning its been 20 years since I have welded anything. I don't endorse this nor condem this item. I am only reporting what I think of it such as quality ect. I am giving a 4 star rating based I don't have anything else to compare with and being it's basically something for around the house. So. In start I immediately find this is no way a industrial quality welder. It has some good thing and others that will be needed to be upgraded most likely soon. I am glad this has options to do more than 1 type of welding. Has wire feed. Tig. And stick. That's what I call them and remember from way back then. Starting with the stick. The operation of the welder is quite simple. Able to select the stick with a push button. Adjust the voltage then how many amps. The cables like the ground twist in one side and the grip for the stick plugs in on the positive side. These cables first thought is will it handle the amps. They are quite thin. The grip definitely has alot of play in it and can tell when opening the jaws to insert the stick. There is enough pressure to keep a grip on the stick with 4 possible angles for the stick to use. Didn't really care that much for the stick because how long the stick becomes till using it when it gets shorter. Very simple to exchange the stick. The plugs going to the welder are quite small and fit in one way. The rotation really does not go that far and I would expect it is possible down the road they will eventually fall out. The wire fed is a cool option. No gas needed. Just have to remember to get the Flux that is for no gas. What I find interesting is this will use both .3 and .35 size for the wire. Sometimes trying to remember sizes is not easy so with more flexibility can go either way. The handle for this wire fed does feel kind of cheap. I also don't expect this to last that long either. The line from the welder to the handle I really don't have faith in it. Has a separate plug for the voltage and looking at the connector wires they are deformed. I was able to plug them in at a later time. The ground wire and clamp. I swear it is thinner than what the wires are for the stick part. The main welder I think is where the quality is. Simple made. The gears and motors inside look like they will last. It is easy to load the wire. The diagram on the lid sows how to load it so I just followed it. The welder is not heavy in any way. It runs on 110 volts. The bad thing is the welder requires 37amps to come in. Houses max out on regular amperage on the 110v outlets are 20 amps and most are 15 amps. This means it can not be used on a standard outlet and money will be needed to pay for a separate line of 110v for a 40 amp line. Not really fun even tho 220v would been nice instead. Well the upgrades will be needed tothe clamps and lines along with a new line of 110v for 40 amps. The cost well I think next time will get from a local store because I have 220v already made for a welder when ever I was going to get one. For now this will do. ... show more

  • Great Beginner Welding Machine!
Pattern Name: MIG-140LED
I actually have quite the collection of these small welder machines, this is my third and so far my favorite out of all of them. For the most part, all of them are stick welders which is why this one appealed to me with it's automatic gasless flux welding which is something that I commonly need to do but end up stick welding instead. Setup is quick and easy, just make sure that you have a 20A or higher aperture outlet available, setup the flux, plug in your gasless welding stick and your ground, attach your ground, plug in the device, pop on a welding helmet and some arm protection and let it rip. Quite honestly, one of the easiest welding machines I've ever used. ... show more

  • All to defend and other
Pattern Name: MIG-140LED
The title of my review is taken from the manual, which is comically bad. We were reading it out loud to each other and laughing. This is good equipment let down by a bad manual. We are not experienced welders, like some here. My husband had a welding class 50 years ago, and I never had any training at all. We had to look up the term “Lift TIG” to find out what it was. But Google and YouTube provided tutorials. Our neighbor loaned us a welding helmet and the local tractor supply store had the rest of what we needed. We have successfully made some test welds. They are ugly but it isn’t the welder’s fault, it is the inexperienced users! We will keep practicing. I will update this review as we learn more. It has worked just fine on a normal 110 volt 15 amp circuit in our garage. Nice to have a machine that does not require 240v. ... show more

  • Super easy to use, made very well, very portable
Pattern Name: MIG-140LED
Super easy to use and made very well. For my needs, it being lightweight and very portable were definite requirements. It exceeds my expectations. I needed a small unit that could be moved to various locations in my workshop and be sturdy enough to do repairs and lightweight projects. The display screen is very easy to see, even with my welding hood on. I'm planning to buy a tig torch so I can also do stainless. This is a great tool and I'd highly recommend it to beginners or experienced welders. ... show more
