This is my third Surface and I’m really pleased. The first lasted me 5 years and I loved it. The second I took from my son after he left for college and got a new computer that suited his needs more. But because he kind of abused it it didn’t last long. So far I’m loving this one! The battery life is solid but like any laptop watch too many videos or use too much processing power and the battery life goes down. The touch screen is much improved over previous models. The one downside for my needs is no slot for a SD or mini SD card. There’s only one USB port and one USB C port so you really need a hub. ... show more

I got the computer 4ish months ago and it’s amazing and fast. The touch screen is a good add. There is a back lit keyboard which is great. The only down fall is how expensive another charging cord is.

The number of ports are limited. The camera can be improved. It would also be nice to have another camera on the cover like a Surface Pro since there is a chance to host a hybrid meeting nowadays. The screen bezel is wider than their competitors, but it is perfectly fine to me because it is still narrow enough. Although it is a 13.5", the screen appears to be bigger because of ratio aspect MS chose to use. I really like this extra screen space. The ice blue color is just so beautiful beyond words. The Alcantara keyboard is so comfortable and such a joy to type on. It is pretty too. I think the Surface Laptop 4 is an excellent choice for people who prefers a Windows platform. ... show more

I'm homebound for ~6 months with 2 broken ankles; the sporadic function of the Chromebook I had was driving me nuts trying to get anything done or keep myself entertained while stuck at home. Bought the Surface after my positive experiences with the one I am supplied with for work and now I am able to get stuff done all day without freeze-ups and rebooting every 12-24 hours. Laptop is great, has some Windows 11 bugs but I was able to fix it through googling. Battery is not as advertised, only able to get out around 6-8 hours instead of 16

It is fast as advertised, and color is brilliant. thin and slick, light weight, but, battery life is not anywhere near advertised. it drains down to almost 10-15% after 4 hours of continuous use. this is a big disappointment. Otherwise I would say this is one of the best.
