Features

  • Drop-in upgrade: FlowTech hotend is designed to be an easy drop-in upgrade for each 3D printer model. This edition is designed for Hotend for Creality K1 and Older K1 Max. Stock z-height, build volume and firmware remains unchanged.
  • Leak-Proof Nozzle: Tired of messy nozzle leaks that ruin your prints and waste filament? FlowTech Hotend combines nozzle and thermal break into one permanently sealed assembly that ensures a leak-proof hotend.
  • Cold Nozzle Change: Swapping out nozzles used to be a time-consuming and potentially hazardous task. With a FlowTech Hotend, nozzle changes are effortless, and there's no need for hot tightening, and you can do it with just one hand.
  • High-Flow Characteristics: Ceramic cylindrical heater and 28.6mm melt zone provides excellent volumetric flow rate.
  • All-Metal Design: Built to last! FlowTech hotend features an all-metal design that can handle most modern 3D printing filaments. The entire hotend is machined and assembled in-house, with quality control performed at multiple stages during the manufacturing process. At the end, each hotend undergoes a full thermal cycling test before it is packaged.

  • One of the best and easiest upgrades you can do.
So, when I got my new K1 Max, I was ecstatic. From opening the box to my first benchy...less than 45 minutes total. Now...there was NOTHING wrong with the printer AT ALL. It's a phenomenal machine right out of the box. But...I wanted to make sure I had replacements "on hand" for the inevitable. That included a replacement hotend. I did order a replacement direct from Creality, but then started reading about MicroSwiss and all the other print fanatics out there with their reviews. So, I decided to bite the bullet and order one of those the K1 Max as well...and a hardened steel 0.4mm nozzle. When it came to replace my first hotend, I skipped the stock replacement and decided to throw this in first. And I have not - ever - been disappointed. This thing really is great! Is it better than stock? Maybe? I am not a "print-head fanatic" by any means, so I never got into EVERY single aspect of this. All I know is that since I've changed it out...I've only had issues that were on ME (or filament)...never with the hotend. It prints flawlessly...every single time. It's quick, maybe even quicker (higher flow) than stock, but I've never messed with max flow rate. All I know is I can throw anything at it and it just prints. I only print PLA and PLA-CF, but even then...no swapping, no clogs, no stringing...nothing! Now, I do have some fat fingers, so trying to get it installed - only because of the tiny pins on the printer itself - was just a bit tight, but installation was straight-forward and easy. And, just having the option to do a COLD swap - if and when needed - is just icing on the cake. I've purchased several other hardened steel nozzles just to have - another 0.4mm and a 0.2 for finer details - and just got the diamond tip from MicroSwiss itself...again...just to have. That original nozzle in the FlowTech hotend has nearly 1,000 hours on it now, and it's still as good as the first day I dropped it in. ... show more

  • M3101 v M3104 version headache
My Creality hot end was leaking, and I believed a piece of filament had broken off in the cool spot of their hot end during retraction. So, I bought the M3101 version because my aluminum block had the center set screw and I thought the MicroSwiss would solve the cool spot problem. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to use the MicroSwiss. Because my old Creality hot end was leaking out the top, there was PLA everywhere. I tried heating the end to remove liquid PLA, and I tried cooling the end to chisel off hard PLA, and finally got access to the two vertical screws holding in the Creality end. They are hex socket drive, and unfortunately, I stripped the inside of the hex socket. My attempts to then remove the Creality end ended up destroying the aluminum block. But, you can’t order replacement aluminum blocks from Creality that have the center set screw- they only have two screws now. So, at the time I bought this, I needed the M3101 version but now I need the M3104 version and there is nowhere I can find the M3104 version. I would probably rate this 5 stars if I could buy the M3104 version and it resolved the K1max cool spot retraction problem. ... show more

  • Perfect!!
It literally took 5 minutes to install. The company says it's set up to spec to be a plug a play device. That's exactly what I did. Ran a test benchy and a cube with flawless results. In the 6 months I've had my K1 Max, I only ever had one clogged nozzle. And I'm pretty sure I caused it. I liked this product for the ease of swapping different size nozzles. I definitely recommend. ... show more

Best thing for the K1

  • Was extremely disappointed
The first 4-5 prints went great but then I started getting clogs. I did all the calibration tests. At first it was just on first layer so I thought it was something else but then it was every 15min. Now every first layer is a fail. I went back to original horned and it prints great again. 80$ down the drain ... show more

  • It's ok
TLDR: Check to make sure your nozzle is tight after two hours of printing. I have battled all sorts of strange issues with this hotend from bed scraping, prints failing, and clogging to over extrusion. The problems were intermittent and would happen on some prints but not others and occurred after roughly 3 hours of printing with this Micro Swiss replacement. I went through all of the normal checks, bed leveling, PLA swaps, different prints, extruder replacement, etc., etc. When I finally gave up and decided to swap back to an older hotend and nozzle I realized that the nozzle had worked itself free by about 3mm. This would cause the nozzle to have about 1.5mm of travel which would cause all of the intermittent issues. I cranked the nozzle back into place, ran a test print and my printer is back to printing beautifully. I’m guessing that after a few heat cycles the nozzle’s expansion and contraction caused rotational-loosening. I hope this helps. ... show more

  • So easy to Install
I had to replace my Hotend anyways. I'm glad I chose to go with this. Very easy to install, no issues at all.

  • High quality hot end
I had a leak in my original K1 hot end and decided to upgrade to the MicroSwiss. It includes everything you need to replace the stock one and is very well constructed. The install is a little difficult trying to hold both side screws in alignment then get them started but I managed to do it in three try’s. The rest of the install went smoothly and I finished it up easily. I ran the K1 through a full calibration and started printing. So far everything is working well, I am pretty happy with upgrade and have more confidence that a leak will never occur. ... show more
