My course is quite hilly and we've been restricted to cart path only because of the Texas drought. I'd rather walk than grab three clubs and walk across the fairway before every shot, so I bought this for the duration of the rule. I doubt I'll ever ride a cart again. At 64, I rarely have my expectations exceeded, but this thing is bloody brilliant. The quality is excellent and assembly is very simple. It's quite a bit larger when folded than a regular pushcart, but quite light and easy to put into the back of my SUV. Battery lasts 18 holes easily, but does require overnight charging, so if you want to play 36 a second battery is in order, or spring for the larger one. Operation is simple even for this techno numpty. Comes with a cup holder and a little grabby thing for my range finder. I have had the cart for about a year. I walk a very hilly course and the X5 has plenty of battery power for 18 holes with the standard battery. Power has not diminished at end of round. Battery charges quickly about 4 hours. Lightweight, easy to fold and unfold. My cart bag attaches very securely. Simple to use and sturdy. Fits easily into trunk. easy to set up and use. Climbs steep hills easily, but needs a steady hand if fairway or hill is crowned or sloped in order to travel on a safe path. The plastic covering the display is fragile and cracked when I placed a club in the bag that struck this area without much force. Battery lasts 36 holes. The build quality on this caddy is superb. Almost everything about it is great. Battery great. Fold/unfold excellent. However for the price the user interface (aka the speed start/stop button) is ridiculous. it’s hard to describe how disappointing it is. Too easy to turn. To easy to bump. Four is too slow, five is too fast. No clicks to tell what speed you are in. There are little tiny clicks but they don’t correlate to anything. You have to reset the fix run distance EVERY time you use it. There are three buttons on the handle and instead of using one for something helpful, all one does is change Meters to Yards!     • The Great..Not so Great Caddy

I am not going to say the same as the others nor address the same features as others. This is a great Caddy, very sharp looking, light and almost good. But it has 9 speeds and no 1/2 speeds. The Rheostat is not seamless if your pace doesn't match you are in for an awful day. Likewise the front wheels even when tweaked and adjusted do not keep the cart straight. Put too much weight in one side or other and it runs crooked. The Free Mode requires you to tip the cart and unlock the wheels. Not overly handy. Also, the cart can be sent ahead by holding down on the Rheostat until 5 flashes in Yds. then turning the Rheostat from 5 to 60 yds/mtrs push the rheostat down and off it goes. BUT...You have to do this EVERY time so 4 times on a 240 yd drive. The Rheostat is placed right in the middle of the Handle and is easy to bump one direction or another. So you're now in for a chase or run smack into the slowed stopped caddy. One would think in our day and age the Rheostat would be like many others, seamless. My wife and I returned ours. We are definitely going to buy a different caddy that has Remote Control + Walk behind seamless Rheostat and with power off, free wheel. If you buy this, KEEP THE BOX! Finally, all MGI Caddy's use the same Rheostat. You been Warned! Fairways and Greens. ... show more

I walk a VERY hilly golf course four times a week -- which is about 5 miles per round. This cart is easy to maneuver, easy to set up, easy to use, and I'm sorry I haven't had it longer. From time to time, I even take it into some pretty rough terrain searching for those errant golf balls, or to take a shortcut to the next teebox. It handles fine. I highly recommend this to anyone who walks any golf course. You can even run with it if you want to set it on the top speed. Can't say enough good things about it. Just buy it if you're looking for a battery cart. You won't be disappointed! ... show more
