    • Cart that makes you less fatigued
Great product. Solid build. I had it for only a month now but it has been a very positive experience so far. They could make a couple of improvements however. 1. My old Rovic push cart uses a clever system to lock the top of my Sun Mountain bag in place, so it would not roll during a round. With the MGI I use a piece of styrofoam that I place in between the bag and the top bracket. It does the trick but the Rovic lock system is a much better solution. It would be an improvement for MGI to consider. 2. The weight balance seems to favor the back of the cart and as a result the fourth wheel is often engaged. Not a deal breaker but a bit irritating when the cart tilts backwards. I weigh the bottom of my golf bag down with a large (heavy) thermo flask with water so the front wheel stays on the ground. Other than that, great product and the cost appears to be more reasonable than competing brands. I have walked a couple of rounds when it was hot and humid and felt not all that exhausted at the end. If you prefer walking over riding and don't want to drain all your energy or your wallet, this is a cart to consider. ... show more

    • It’s like having a caddy carry your bag!
This rig is awesome! I am 69 and stand 5’ 2’’. My requirements were to have something that moved by itself, battery life that lasts for 18 holes, and be able to get it in and out of my trunk. This excels on all levels. It is also perfectly designed and engineered. I added a seat later for when I have to wait for players in front of me and I expected to have issues attaching it, but the holes had already been predrilled for everything I wanted to add. I don’t have a remote but I wouldn’t let it get that far away from me anyway. No issues with any terrain. Worth every penny ... show more

This powered cart makes it possible for me to walk 18 holes much more than I would have thought possible. It was definitely a worthwhile purchase, but it does have some frustrating features. The pros: - Many features are well-designed - wheels, battery, most of the ergonomics aside from the speed-control button. - It's sturdy and well-made. - Good battery life. - Folds up easily and compactly. - It's easy to move the battery from cart to charger and back; simple, workable design. - Customer service is responsive. - Climbs and steers well. The cons: - Incremental, not variable, speed control. Four is too slow and 5 is too fast. - There's no brake. It needs a parking brake. - The battery sits towards the back, putting the center of gravity towards the back, so the cart tips back going up slopes. The golf bag is tipped back a little further than is optimum. It's a trade-off with the well-designed battery attachment, so to be somewhat forgiven. - Accessories are poorly designed. The cupholder falls off easily. The small cubby by the controls is too small to be of much use, as is the scorecard holder. And the pencil holder doesn't actually hold onto most pencils. Optional accessories are overpriced. The cart quit after a few months - just a "b" on the display screen and no movement. Customer service helped us troubleshoot, then sent one part that we changed out easily. That didn't fix it, so they immediately sent out another part. That was a little more of a chore to change out, but the video was comprehensive, so not a problem. It solved our issue and I had a great first season with a somewhat imperfect, but still very helpful, power cart. ... show more

I have been using the MGI X1 for over 1 month I am extremely satisfied. The buggy folds and unfolds easily. The Lithium battery housing is smartly designed to uncouple quickly from buggy and charges quickly. I have used buggy on very hilly course and had no issues even the 4th wheel rarely engages only if you push down on handle. The speed control does not brake buggy going down hill. So when going up a hill I set speed to a 6 setting on steep downhill on will set to 3 or just disengage the drive. So speed settings of between 4 to 6 I have used mostly on course. I am retired and golf 2 to 3 times a week. For the price on Amazon it was bargain. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I owned a Zip X1 for 3 1/2 years and loved it. I had to replace the gear box and axle assembly after a year or so, because a car backed over one wheel and “bent” the solid stainless steel axle. I took it apart and hit the axle with a small sledgehammer to try and bend it back. Could not even move it a little. I order a new assembly and installed. A couple years later one wheel stopped working so the cart would go in circles. I asked customer support what would cause that and they said to open the assembly. I removed it and opened the gear box and found the axle was severed on one side and appeared a hole had been drilled it. When I sent pictures (attached) they said that the cart was either dropped or maybe run into a sand trap causing the axle to break. No comment about why a hole was drilled in the axle. I could drop that cart off a rooftop and the plastic cart would shatter and I doubt the axle would even have a scratch. I understand warranties, but this is a manufacturer defect. I doubt I have the only one. ... show more

Works real nice on all terrain. Back single wheel helps a lot on hills. Battery is strong. 18 holes no problem with Battery life.

    • Easy to get it out of the car and be ready to use.
The cart is well made and easy to get ready for use. Very light weight but sturdy. It does take a few rounds to get use to the speed control and get it to a comfortable speed. Speed does change going up and down hills and going from the fairway and rough. The only thing that I don't like is the method of changing speed. It has a dial with internal notches to change the speed. Those notches are not a definitive click when you go to the next speed. I have accidentally changed the speed from 4 to 6 by bumping the dial while I am walking. I don't know what I would do if the speed changed accidentally, and it took off. I can't chase it down. Overall, I think it was a good choice but next time I would consider the remote-control model. ... show more
