Color is more of an antique brass… Definitely not gold. Cannot get the connections tight, so it wobbles when you touch it. Gives off very minimal light like night lights… Not for lighting a room. The bulb came and it was broke. The cord attachment was pushed inside the lightbulb and unable to charge. The shade seam is on the side. When you put it in the back it on screws so the lampshade is wobbly. Very poor quality. ... show more

This one is an electrical light w wires, but I mounted it without wiring it in. then I purchased battery operated LED lights and it worked out great. Received the product quickly and in good condition (no damage). I purchased these as a supplementary light fixture for my daughters' room (4 and 2). As other reviews mention, the gold finish does not have a high-end finish. Appears like a matte, gold spray paint; however, works well for my purposes in a little girl's room. I do get the impression this fixture would chip over time based on the finish if not careful. I would not recommend this fixture if you are looking for a sophisticated gold/brass finish, but again, for my purposes, it works fine for the price.
