Took about 3 hours of steady work for 2 adults to get this done. Easiest and fastest way is to have an Allen wrench bit on a screwdriver handle, rather than using the Allen wrench that is supplied. This is for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it. My 3 year old does too. They love the desk area to do their ‘makeup’ and I am in the process of putting bins on the shelves for their toys. Some negatives - the ladder is pretty difficult to get up and down versus a standard bunk ladder that has a better angle. A few damaged boards from shipping but luckily they were ones in the back that didn’t show. Some boards were not labeled so it took awhile to decipher which board was for each step. Nonetheless the kids love it and my daughter is actually sleeping in her own room now! 😅 ... show more

For the price, this bed is very sturdy and provided some much needed storage space to our 8 year olds room. The directions were easy to follow. It did require more than one person to put together. Working together it took two of us around 2.5 hours to assemble. The only downside is that we had some boards split while attaching them. Luckily the splits are not in a spot where you see them. I got this bed frame because I needed more room (I have a LOT of arts and crafts stuff, have a tiny closet, and don't have a separate room I can keep these things in). I'll go ahead and give a warning: While you can build this ENTIRELY by yourself, I would not recommend it. It takes awhile! I would also recommend a power drill, doing this entire thing with a screwdriver (on my own) has my wrists and arms hurting like s***. It took me 9 hours to get it done, but please know I took a lot of long breaks because this kind of thing is just not something I enjoy doing. Also this bed seems to be meant for kids/teens, but luckily I'm small enough (5'5, 125-ish lbs) that it just works for me. I wish the desk portion was wider, it's unfortunately small, but I do already have a desk and it actually fits nicely in the open space to the left, so this desk on the frame acts as a secondary desk for me and I have been needing that badly. I don't like how the ladder feels on my feet though, that's one of the downsides. But otherwise it's mostly fine. ... show more

Instructions were mostly clear, but read them carefully. They don’t always cover every hole in the boards so as another review said, make sure J holes are at the top and make sure the boards that hold the shelves have the holes facing upward to drill shelves into. Bed turned out awesome, my kid loves it. Especially impressed it’s a full size and not a twin. All parts and boards were there, we didn’t have issue with the paint as someone else said. Everything looks great! I wish the built in desk had a bit more depth but we were able to put our old desk under as well to add more desk space. ... show more

Overall, I do think this is a good value for the money, it’s nice and sturdy, and it was easy to put together. Sadly, the paint job was awful. Actually, it appears to only be primed…badly. I will have to paint the whole thing which is disappointing.

I love the bed. But had some issues with the shipping, in the end the cutomer service has gone out of their way to make it right and I applaud any company willing to work that hard for their customers. The bed ships in 2 boxes. 1 box was damaged by the shipper and was sent back. Customer service was responsive, but it still took longer than I would have liked to recieve the second box, but like I said customer service has been in contact to make things right. Make sure you order the right color the first time because they might not be able to change the order once it's placed. I like the bed. And although I was a little frustrated by the shipping issues, I would happily recommend this bed and company to anyone looking for a quality bed frame that's very solid if put together correctly. ... show more

This product arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Unfortunately it was pouring rain so it got soaked. It was packaged well enough that the pieces didn’t get damaged. The wood scratches easily and the instructions are pictures only, so putting it together was a pain. Once it’s together it’s pretty stable. I would not recommend this for adults or bigger teens. The ladder is awkward and it shakes quite a bit when climbing. ... show more

We like this way better than the previous loft bed. I put the bed together by myself and it was pretty easy. I was missing two pieces but once I contacted the company they sent them right away. I’m very pleased with the purchase.
