I'm a complete beginner at using an eFile, but I didn't want to get a cheap beginner unit which could perform badly, die soon, or which would be too limiting as I learned how to use it, so I did a lot of research. I kept coming back to this unit, and finally decided that it had all I needed now, and then some. I was impressed that many of the reviewers on YouTube mentioned having older versions of this nail drill which were still performing well. I also like how compact it is, and love that it's rechargeable with a USB-C cable, since I'm often mystified by which proprietary cable goes with what. It also has drill bits which appear to be of the types which I see YouTubers actually using on nails and cuticles. It performs extremely well, and the only issue I've found is that the directions state that you need to rotate the (groved), middle section of the barrel until you hear a click in order to remove the bits. However, the chucks were not opening. Even my husband couldn't get it. Eventually, I discovered that you have to rotate it until you hear (and feel) TWO clicks. Once that difficulty was surmounted, it was easy sailing. I'm finally able to clean up the part of my cuticles which cling to the nail plate, as well as smooth out the sorry looking job I do of trimming them; and for the first time in my life, I've been able to trim back the hyponychium which overgrows, and looks unsightly. I may not be able to apply polish perfectly, but at least I'm finally getting the basics of a manicure right. I'm extremely happy with how easy this is to handle. As a complete beginner, I'm starting out with speed 1 (of 30), and going quite slowly, so I learn how to handle the device correctly, and not creating any damage, and getting good results; and I expect this to continue to work like a dream when I know what I'm doing. The media could not be loaded. Great mobile drill kit. Lock-in bit. Med weight. C charging port. Back and forth button. Very high power. Long battery life. No vibration. This one checks all the boxes on an excellent drill for any manicurist, home or pro. Note: Lock in bits, instead of push in bits are better because you can adjust the amount of distance the bit sticks out. I like to have my bit very close to the drill. It is also more stable locked in. The only thing I don’t like is the regular drill bits stick out too far as seen in video. This drill comes with short 1 1/2” bits which you can’t find to buy anywhere. Your regular size 1 3/4” bits will not sit close to the drill tip. ... show more

EDIT 3/10/25: Updating my review from 2 starts to 4! As mentioned below, I love this drill but it did not last past six months. They reached out to me for further feedback and made it right by refunding me for my purchase. Good customer service! I’m hoping I just got a bad item because although I love this drill, it didn’t last even last 6 months! *** I was very surprised that Melody Susie reached out to me regarding my review. It was very unexpected. Their customer service and the speed at which they made things right has made me a loyal customer. I do love their products I own the e-file, two different machines to cure nails, numerous polishes, drill bits, and I’m sure there’s more I can’t even think of right now. I’m very happy to stay with this company and I’ve already ordered a different e-file to replace my other. Thank you, Melody Susie for being the kind of company that I’m going to stay frequent I’m sure many times in the future. ————- I purchased this late December and didn’t start using it till mid January. It is now late February and it will not charge. It will not turn on. It does nothing. I only use this for myself at home so it definitely has not been overused. I have received 2 of this wireless drillers and only used it for 2 months and one of the driller has stop working. I’ve tried others C cords charger to see if it works but it still didn’t work. I am not happy with what I’ve purchased and won’t be coming back to purchase a drill here.

I do my own gel X nails at home and this is perfect for someone like me who is just doing nails on occasion as a hobby. I love that it’s wireless and the mechanism for increasing the speed and changing direction is really intuitive to learn. I previously had a cheaper melody Susie e-file and it didn’t have a way to lock in the drill bits which worried me. But that’s not an issue with this one, as the e-file has a “click” when it’s locked in. This is the best quality nail drill while still being super affordable. ... show more

This is the tool you need for at home manicures. It’s so easy to use. Digital screen shows battery life, speed, and direction. Direction is changed by turning the end of the tool. There’s a lock and release mechanism to swap bits. It’s cordless. Works like a dream. Worth every penny!

Another awesome electric nail file by MelodySusie! My other electric nail file (MelodySusie brand) is an older model with a cord but it still works great, so I wasn't worried about quality when I bought this one - and I wasn't disappointed! I haven't had any skipping or bouncing issues, it's easy to hold and maneuver when using on myself, and it's safe as long as you're using it in a smart way (don't turn it up to high if you aren't used to it!). The lowest speed does tend to stop when you use more pressure but the first speed is great on cuticles, where the pressure should be lighter. Definitely a must-buy if you're looking for a cordless version! ... show more
