I wanted to get an acrylic set because I don’t want to pay to get my nails done at a salon especially since they break so easily because of sports. I got this set to try and I actually love it so much. Acrylic is very hard to put on but the more I’ve done it the better I’ve gotten at it. Only thing I would warn of is that the nail file they provide is not very strong so I would recommend using your own or purchasing a separate one. But overall the product is very good! ... show more

    • Strong acrylic smell through closed bottle
I just received this and upon opening the Amazon box I could smell the strong odor of the liquid monomer through the closed box inside. I was scared the bottle broke or opened however that wasn't the case. Everything was in tact so why the strong smell? The liquid comes in a plastic bottle but I think glass would likely be less permeable. I was ready to get started and realized they highly recommend a primer. No primer is included in this ready-to-go set so that was a bummer. That said I ordered the primer and will wait to use the set, then I will update the review. It was great but when I got it, it didn't have everything the instructions said to have. Also the instructions weren’t very clear so my nails didn’t turn out great. After an hour I was texting on my phone and a nail just came off. But other than that it was good.

I order this as well as a larger acrylic nail kit for my daughter. These glues and powders are so much better than what came in the kit. Will be ordering this again once she starts getting low.

For the price of this kit, I'm very impressed with the quality. I bought this for a quick fix for a broken nail. It was split in half and I wanted to save it as best as I could, so acrylic was my answer. The photos are from after the application of the clear. You can still see the crack through it but cannot tell there is anything on the nail. As of today, it's been 2 weeks since I applied the acrylic and it's still holding strong. I do see some discoloration beneath but I think that may be because of application error, I was rushed and had never used acrylic before. I plan to remove and reapply but it's not a big deal for now. ... show more
