Loved it! Perfect for our project and future ones. Used it to spray the outside of our carport. I see reviews some state it spits and does not spray. They apparently did not reduce their product correctly. You have to adjust with what you are spraying. Highly recommend.

    • Not going to be a perfect hvlp sprayer but surprisingly good for the price
I've owned this about a year now. I've sprayed quite a bit of urethanes, enamels & latex with it, mostly on small run cabinet doors, inserts & drawers. Yes, I have it 5 stars, in reality, I would give it 4.5, but, obviously I can't do that, so I chose to round up. I recommend against it for oil based materials, after all it's all plastic components and many of the solvents for those are very brutal on some of the sprayer's components. But using it with water based materials I'm quite pleased with results I can achieve. The spray pattern adjuster is fragile, being plastic, when it's collar is tightened down it's easy to over shoot the detente stops & damage it. Not a game finisher, the thing only has a 90 degree range, so pretty easy to contend with. You must clean it immediately after use, or it will develop crusties which will gum up the spray nozzle, likely sending chunks on to your item's finish leaving gobs. It is NOT compatible with powerstack batteries, fine with XR & original packs, I think I've used it with flexvolt without a problem, but the powerstacks make the motor ebb & surge, to the extreme where the gun will not spray. I would suggest using it either at least 4ah battery to use a full material jar in one spray session. The 1.5 barely gets me ⅓ of a jar, the 2ah is about half a jar. You can pull it apart, which is great for cleaning, I yank the spray head from the motor body to take it to the service sink for cleaning. Seems the kits updated, mine had no brush, viscosity tool, or other spray heads other than the 1.5. honestly, I doubt I would use a larger nozzle, the motor doesn't build up enough of a head to really atomize well on wide throw setting with just the 1.5, I use it necked down all the time, with the spray volume knob dialed almost all the way back. Set that way, I get a pretty comparable spray to what my high end Fuji will shoot. I wish they sold spare parts, I'd like the other spray head disks, but more importantly it would be great to have additional material jars & jar lids. So, if you want a sprayer that's cheap, easily portable, does a fairly decent job & pretty easy to clean to run on your existing DeWalt batteries, I believe you'll be happy with this sprayer. ... show more

Yo so I am using this unit as a fly sprayer for my horses. It works great when you can get the dam bucket that you load the produce goes in. that dam plastic screw on bucket is a Big joke. A person have a hard time trying to screw that dam thing back on the unit. If you do not have it all the way on it will not pick up of the produce. The pickup hose is a big joke. I have a friend that have one of those printer that can make things. I'm going to have him make a different bucket out of light tin or something like that. once we get it to screw into the unit then we will leave in on the dam thing. The way we will load it will be by the plug that will be build into the side of it close to the top. Have to make sure that it seals. Then we will take the pickup hose and replace it with a free hanging hose. Or I made try putting a plug into the side of the plastic bucket making sure that it will seal and see what happen. If I can get that to work then I will get some more of these units. I have friends that would love to use this but they tried mines and do not like the way the bucket goes on.     • Surprisingly pretty good for the price
It’s not a 400$ sprayer buts it’s pretty good. You need to balance the settings. Directions aren’t good. I had to adjust the air balance to almost the lowest setting and trigger to maximum for it to be decent. Also had to thin the paint and shake it around. I had to lightly clean it after an hour because the front gummed up but overall pretty good especially for the price ... show more

I wouldn’t recommend this sprayer for inside use but outside it’s ‘OK’. I had to work with it a bit to get a consistent spray pattern. I diluted my exterior grade BM latex paint 2 to 1 (paint to water) and used the red spray tip… I got pretty good results. Several things to be aware of though: With a sprayer full of paint and a 5 Ah battery the combo gets heavy fast. You’ll be holding the sprayer with two hands in a couple of minutes unless you’ve been weight lifting consistently. I used it to paint a wood fence and it did a good job covering the wood. One issue I had though was that it would splatter paint (maybe a teaspoon) when you started spraying. Once you got going, no problem. It’s just the beginning of each spray cycle, another splatter. I used four 5Ah batteries which were good for about 1 gallon of paint. When you are diluting the paint I recommend straining the paint. Just a few tiny lumps in the paint will really slow you down. Overall I give it 3 stars. The manual is terrible. The spray tips are marked but you really have to look closely to see the numbers. It is pretty easy to clean but I was using latex paint so I was cleaning with soap and water. This sprayer is definitely not appropriate for furniture grade projects but for fences, lawn furniture, a backyard shed, etc. it should be fine. ... show more

I was grateful for how well this thing worked for me. It was perfect for spraying our deck with Thompson's water sealer/stain. This handy sprayer saved me a lot of bent-over time. Easy clean up, too. For the price, I didn't expect it to work as well as it did, and it's ready to go for the next project. It does work better with a fresh battery, but what doesn't? I couldn't be more pleased with this little sprayer. Easy -peasy. 👍 ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for this last year when I bought it. But I would’ve paid double what I did or more and still been thrilled! It took me a minute to get the hang of how much to thin paint, but once I did this thing does an amazing job! I’ve used it to paint four kitchens worth of cabinets and several side tables as well. So fast!!! It works with my dewalt 20v batteries which I love. Light weight and easy to use and clean. Makes it so much faster than rolling or brushing! ... show more
