  • Hold Their Shape When Wet
Because I'm on a very limited budget I've tried the budget brands and even "house" brands from well-known stores around the country. I won't do it again. These are the highest quality filters, and they're proof-positive of the axiom that "you get what you pay for." They don't fold over or collapse during use, especially if you take a couple of seconds to press the seam open against the coffee basket before adding the coffee grounds. In addition, I like supporting quality brands that have been around for many years when I can. These filters bear the name of the lady who "invented" them a long time ago, and because the standard of quality has not been compromised for higher profit it seems worthwhile to keep supporting the company that makes them. ... show more

  • ✅ Excellent Coffee Filters ✅
The Melitta unbleached coffee filters always seem to be high quality (consistently). They hold a lot more than just ground coffee. I like to add other beneficial, natural, flavor enhancing ingredients on the top of my Organic, Fair Trade, Medium Roast... such as Organic Cinnamon powder, Organic Cardamon powder and Vanilla Pyure Organic Liquid Stevia Extract sweetener in my cup. Delicious ! Tastes better than a gourmet coffee shop purchase. Occasionally, I will add some Organic, raw Cacao as well. Also noteworthy (if you've had filter breakage with other brands) the Melitta filters always hold everything no matter how fast I pour the hot water through my Ceramic Pour Over Coffee Dripper ! ;-) On a less positive note- I do have to comment (for the sake of clarity and also because I was vexed) about the way in which one of my valid questions was answered by two different individuals. One response was fairly helpful (albeit w/some inaccurate info) and posted by a fellow Amazon customer, but the other response was just a sarcastic, IMO total time waster and it seems as though.. the sarcasm might have been posted from a Melitta Company Rep ? I'm thinking... the purpose of Amazon reviews and questions... are to serve as helpful tools for other Amazon customers who also may have the same concerns and questions. Here is a copy and paste: My question: What exactly is meant by "microfiber perforations" ? Is this reference to the size of the perforations only, or is it a mixed fiber content ? Answer #1 to my question- It reads, "microfine" not "microfiber." They have small perforations on the side which allows some of the coffee to come though instead of all going to the bottom of the cone filter. The filter is all paper product. By Kindle Customer on July 5, 2021 Thank you for your response Kindle Customer, I appreciate it. However, the Melitta "Product Description" actually states (I took a screen capture and did a copy and paste as of 07-08-21) quote: "The microfiber flavor-enhancing perforations". Someone needs to correct the Product Description, so it is 100% clear and not misleading. Microfine has quite the different meaning from microfiber ! Had the description really stated: "microfine" I would never have asked my question in the first place, as "Microfine" would have been crystal clear to me. Microfiber is another story ! Although it is widely used in many different applications and considered by a lot of companies and customers to be a useful, soft and strong fiber... it is undeniably toxic ! It is NOT a stretch to wonder IF a coffee filter company used Microfiber combined with paper fiber, since some reputable tea companies (with otherwise healthy teas) use plastic fibers in their tea bag filters. Like plastic, microfiber is also toxic for the Earth... for rivers, lakes and especially the oceans. This was THE PRIMARY REASON for my concern and also WHY I posted my question. As for the self-presumed 'deep thinking' dork who told me to "Think" as he fired off a stupid, sarcastic response to my question... why bother ? What's your point ? You just like wasting other people's time ? ... show more

  • Melitta coffee filters
These are by far the best filters on the market. Thick, unbleached paper is the only way to go for a great cup of joe. I actually though about changing that last sentence because it rhymes but I'm owning it.

  • Two Stars
Overpriced! Thought I would get 400 filters, but instead only 200. Cheaper at the grocery store.

  • Fits Antique Gevalia Coffe Maker
I think I have thee oldest coffee maker on the planet. Gevalia offered a FREE coffee maker just to try their coffee beans and I took them up on the offer. That was at least 25 years ago and the thing still works like a champ! I was concerned that filters for such an old unit would become unavailable. However, these fit perfect and since I do a double pourover I need a sturdy filter. These did not have the convenient tab to separate each filter but I survived the awkward movements to select a single. Recommend. ... show more

  • This Product Stinks! Literally!
I'm in shock. I've been using another less expensive brand of filter for the last many years and ran out. Thought I'd go back to the source, after all Melitta invented the process. Well, I'm not sure what's in their flavor enhancing, but the second you open the package, a faint chemical odor wafts into the air, and it affects the taste! overriding the actual taste of the coffee. Buyer Beware. There are no returns on this item. ... show more

  • AWFUL WASTE OF MY MONEY
Flimsy, Tears easily. Does not fit well into my Melitta filter holder. need to use TWO filters together and even then they brew a very weak cup of coffee. What happened to the dependable Melitta filters that I had come to know and love back in the olden days??? And the WORST part? The filters are NON returnable -- I wasted $11 of my hard-earned money. I might as well pitch them or use them for paint strainers as they do not serve their intended function. SHAME on you Melitta!! ... show more

  • Important feature missing.
I hadn't bought coffee filters in a while, and selected Melitta from it's reputation. That was a mistake. They are missing the important tab on one side that makes it easy to open to put it inside the cone. You have to fumble to separate the 2 sides. I won't be buying Melitta again for that reason. There is another equally good filter out there, at a similar price, that does have that tab. It's the one to buy. ... show more
