It’s the second poke a dot book that we buy and while the first was perfect, this one has some dots that don’t pop! My son still enjoys it so I won’t bother returning it but something to keep in mind when buying it.

5 of the dots won’t pop. They don’t stay down when you push them so you can’t use them on the other side of the page. Also my husband thinks half of these names are made up, some are a bit out there.

The book is distracting. The poke-a-dots are in the middle of the dinosaur, so that a clear image of the dinosaur cannot be seen. There are many pop-up bubbles and distracting images on each page, so that a toddler cannot easily focus on the images or the words.

Binding was already broken when it arrived and tore even more as we looked through the book for the first time. Several of the dots wouldn't stay popped, either. Disappointing since my son was interested in the content, but I can't justify keeping a book that's already falling apart.

Honestly I thought the book was way overpriced before we got it. But it is worth it. The book is huge. Full of dinosaurs and info and the pop it popper thingys. My son loves this book! I gave it four stars though because it is so darn heavy that it scares me every time he tries carrying it. I am afraid he’s going to drop it and really hurt his foot or something. It has to weigh about 5 lbs. But definitely buy the book if you have a little one who loves dinosaurs. ... show more

My son loves dinosaurs so naturally was so excited to get this book. The pages are nice and thick and it stands up to little hands flipping pages and playing with it. Lots of fun!
