  • Entertaining and educational
After doing some online search, I came across a children's game that appeared to be both entertaining and educational. As a parent, I value the benefits of gaming for children, while also prioritizing the inclusion of educational content. The game in question is known as Plugo and is developed by PlayShifu. Specifically, we opted to purchase the spelling and grammar kit. The setup process was relatively straightforward, with the most time-consuming aspect being the creation of an account. We utilized our daughter's Amazon tablet to access the game, which is compatible with a wide range of platforms. Although we needed to remove the tablet from its protective case, the game provides a secure holder for the device. The game mat is foldable and equipped with magnetic components to secure the letter tiles. Plugo offers a range of engaging activities that enhance vocabulary, foster letter recognition, develop problem-solving skills, and improve hand-eye coordination. The game is adaptable to various grade levels and targets key language concepts such as phonics, pronouns, spelling, sight words, prepositions, nouns, and verbs. I am pleased to report that my 7-year-old daughter has spent over an hour engrossed in these educational games, demonstrating sustained interest and enjoyment. As a parent, witnessing her engagement and learning is truly gratifying. Plugo is designed for children aged 4-10 and features customizable learning levels to cater to individual needs. I wholeheartedly recommend the Plugo Letters Spelling and Grammar Kit, as it offers a valuable learning resource for households with children within this age range. ... show more

  • Fun for littles!
This is the perfect kit for back to school! Our kids love the interactive games and storylines. It keeps them engaged for sure. Tip: make sure to follow the set up exactly and let the gray calibrate so that the letters register correctly. If you don’t, it gets really touchy and some of the letters don’t register. We also thought it would be better if the pad was one panel less or move the tray up one panel so that it doesn’t sit on the edge/so far from the screen. The pad with panels just seems a little too long but it isn’t the worst thing just takes up a bit of space. We do also wish the tray was bigger but it’s not the worst. We have the kids lay the letters out on the table to help them find them quicker than digging through the tray. Other than that, we love it. It’s definitely worth the price. Plus it’s semi compact so can be easily packed and accompany you on your travels. We love that we can set up different kid profiles and it customizes the games for the player. The color scheme is great too! ... show more

  • Highly recommended!
I recently started using Plugo Letters with my daughter, and I am incredibly impressed with the results. The interactive design makes learning phonetics fun and engaging, allowing her to easily grasp the concepts with minimal help from me. The combination of tactile play and digital learning has proven to be a perfect balance, keeping her interested while effectively teaching her the basics of phonics. The variety of games and challenges are well thought out, offering just the right amount of difficulty to keep her challenged without feeling frustrated. It's been amazing to see her progress so quickly and confidently. Plugo Letters is an excellent tool for parents who want to support their child's early literacy skills in a fun and effective way. ... show more

  • Great when it works
This is a great educational game for kids and it's easy to set up and connect, my issue is a lot of times you put the correct letter in the correct spot and it will say it's wrong, then it'll start going crazy until I exit out and start the game again sometimes that doesn't even fix the issue. I have made sure the game is updated, the tablet or phone whichever is being used is positioned right, the letter chest is in the correct spot and that still doesn't fix the issue ... show more

  • This was a waste
The concept is great. The pieces are well made, but my problem with it is the actually app and curriculum part. It'll ask the child to spell really long words that are not pre-k level words, but to make matters worse it already has the spelling on the screen so the child just copies the letter seen on the screen. Pretty much not learning anything. These are not sight words or age appropriate words. I had it set to prek so no reason for this. Seems like not much thought was put into that level. Also if you go back it doesn't save the work they've completed meaning if they complete a level and click out of it it never saves so kid was bored with it fairly quick. It's been sitting and collecting dust. I would try anything route for learning to spell. ... show more

  • Glitching
The concept is good. It has a lot of fun games for all ages but it’s very glitchy. It says letters are being put down when they aren’t. It gets very frustrating and confusing for my daughter when she puts the right letter down and it says it’s wrong. Work out the kinks and it could be great. Definitely not worth the $50 we paid though. At least not right now. ... show more

  • Love it
My daughter is three years old so she is not quite ready for this, but I figured, she'll grow into it!. You can use a phone or an iPad. This was very simple to set up as it walks you through how to do it. I like how the letters are very interactive so if it is wrong, it turns red and if it's correct, it's yellow. My daughter really wanted to work with the sea interaction. She does have a short attention span but every other day so far since I got it for her, she wants to play with it and she l enjoys trying to spell the words! I have my iPad ready for her when ever she has the interest and I sit with her to help. Whats great, you do not have to use the stand provided for your iPad, you can use it in any case! ... show more
