  • It is worth the money
I was a little sceptical at first due to the price, but the lens does have a great build quality to it, it's not the best, but it doesn't feel cheap, just remember it is a MANUAL FOCUS so if that's not an issue for you don't think it twice and just buy it, remember almost all of the cameras now have the focus peaking feature that helps a lot if you're new to manual lenses like me, and it does have a really good depth of field, it is really sharp at the center, it loses a little sharpness at the corners when it is wide open but you couldn't notice it unless you are really looking for it. ... show more

  • Great manual lens for beginner
Very happy with this purchase. Just purchased my first camera (sony alpha a6000) and this lens has been stellar so far. I've been testing out different portrait shots and have been really impressed with the image quality, especially for such a low cost. Will definitely be getting the 35 mm from Meike soon given the positive experience with this one. ... show more

  • Fits sony a6000. Best part no adapter needed!!
I have no words to describe this lens! First of all you are saving some money!!!! It has amazing picture quality, manual so you have to play with it to figure it out and the best part is no E-mount adapter. Fits nice and tight on my sony a6000.

  • Lenses were good but trying to return it for my money back... Impossible.
I grabbed two of Meike lenses, the 50mm f2.0 and the 35mm f1.4. The cameras out of the box was excellent but for what I wanted to shoot (videography) it was unusable with the rig I had. so I returned it back un June, and have not received my refund for the two lenses. Customer service was no help and I'm still trying to get my money back with no hope. ... show more

  • I like it
I like this lens! The lens has a great build and feels nice in the hand. The photos are sharp as far as I can tell. I'm new to photography and manual lenses. I posted a picture taken with the lens for your visual pleasure.

  • Manual Lenses can hit the spot for certain things
This is a MANUAL lens- make sure you know that means there is no autofocus or manipulation of the lens controls from the camera body. You have to do it all by hand. That being said, this lens is pretty sharp and, if you have a camera with focus peaking, catching focus shouldn't be an issue for you. I like it for portraits and other situations where a big aperture is helpful. Think I paid $75 for this but for any more than that, I'd probably start looking for the Sony f.18/50mm on ebay or something. Not a bad lens at all though. ... show more
