    • Efficient and effortless air purifying at a great price

We live in a big city so air purifiers to help reduce air particles / dust are important. We also have 2 cats and 2 kids and a good friend with a cat allergy so need something that works well. We bought this unit for our living/dining/kitchen area which is just about 1000sf. Out of the box, this unit was super easy to get started and immediately began clearing the air - the sun was shining through the window so we could literally see the dust flow towards the unit's 2 filters! Here are the PROS IMO: 1. Filters are super easy to clean and change - the covers easily pinch to pull off (though would not be easy for a small kid to do) and the filers have a tab to pull out. I vacuum the layer of dust that collect on the outside of the filter, then change every 6-12 months). The outer cover can also easily be cleaned with plain soap and water since it is 100% removable. 2. Sound / speeds - there are 3 speeds on this unit. The first level is almost totally silent yet you can still feel a slight breeze from the output. the second is what I would describe as a light fan sound. The third speed is definitely louder and output stronger so we use it when cooking / cleaning or need to purify the entire room quickly for guests. What I do like about the 3rd setting is that it creates a good "white noise" for sleeping and drowns out "city noise" and other background noise. 3. Portable - this unit is light weight and easy to carry from room to room. We transfer it to the kids rooms when they have friends over then back to the kitchen area when cooking, then to the bedroom at night. 4. Cost - this was less expensive than many other comparable units that cover large rooms 5. Style - this has a nice, clean, modern style that can blend into any room. CONS well, none yet! If there was an additional feature I would like to see it would be a sensor of just how clean the air is. I highly recommend this unit! ... show more

Filters large and small particles and odors. Easy to vacuum larger stuff (dog, cat hair) off of filters. Cleans air fast on high setting (pretty loud). Medium setting is nice white noise when sleeping (I can’t hear neighbors.) Low is so quiet I can hardly tell it’s running.

Compared to my old air cleaner these are way quieter. They perform very well for removing odors but not so well at the dust. My old air cleaner catches so much dust and dog hair that I have to clean the filters weekly as they get completely plugged. These new air cleaner took a month before I needed to get the dust off and they caught no dog hairs. My old air cleaner is a Holmes and is a beast at catching the dust and hairs but really fails at odors and is extremely noisy. These new ones are great for odors and have excellent air circulation but for some reason just don't do the dust ... show more

    • Definitely worth the money for anyone with breathing problems

I was surprised that such a small air filter had such a high rating and was designed for such a large space but once I received it I turned it on and the little bit of odor that was in the house from the 2 cats was taken care of almost immediately even on its lowest setting. It is virtually silent on its lowest setting. It is an incredibly powerful fan on its highest setting. I was glad to see that the touchscreen had a child lock display so my cats can’t change the settings on it when I leave it on if they decide to mess with it. The only real complaint that I have about this particular device is that the power light flashes constantly when it’s off. I don’t see any reason for this extra use of power especially when it has a timer that you can set to have it automatically turn off. I imagine that it’s probably so that you can turn it on even in the dark but it’s kind of a needless feature. I mean seriously who is going to turn on an air filter in a dark room? Other than that it has been excellent. I have asthma and allergies and two cats so this is exactly what I needed to be able to help me breathe a little bit better. Definitely worth the money especially because the filters are so easy to take in and out. I was really excited to see that as long as you submit your filter changes every four months to this company they actually have a lifetime warranty on this product that comes in the box for you with all the information that you need to take care of the filter changes. Honestly I think the only people who would review a product like this poorly are people who either got a damaged product due to shipping or manufacturing issues or somebody who didn’t pay attention when ordering. It does say that it includes “two sets” of filters which is a little unclear. Because the unit takes two filters I figured it was probably a skirt around what would be considered “false advertising.” I was right. Do not expect to get an extra SET of filters with this device. It comes with the 2 filter set to put in the device initially. It does not come with a spare. Quite frankly though, I didn’t expect it to have another set to begin with, and if you do expect to have another set, I have one particular turn of phrase for you: you get what you pay for. This was a good price for an air filter. You shouldn’t be expecting an extra set of filters for this price. Most air filters are over $200 if they’re good ones. If you are willing to pay the extra $40 with this, then you can order another set of filters with it very easily. Now, the reason I added this to my review is because I actually saw people complain about this issue, but its exactly what you should expect. ... show more
