  • Excellent Cables
Color: 12 Feet (Black)
The banana plugs on these cables make firm contact with my speaker and amplifier plugs. They made an instant improvement in the sound of my system. They look to be a quality manufactured product and are not too expensive for what they are. I'm using a Yamaha Cd player and amp with Klipsch Reference Premier RP 280 F speakers. ... show more

  • Highest quality budget cables. Highly recommended for average and even above average quality sound systems.
Color: 6 Feet (Black)
These are high-quality cables which are also constructed properly. There are many more expensive cables being sold which have connectors held on by mechanical pressure, meaning crimped wire or a set screw. In contrast, these "budget" cables are soldered, which creates a more consistent electrical connection. Soldering also seals the point of electrical contact from direct contact with the oxygen in the air. This is a good thing because the quality of the electrical connection is just as important as the quality of the wire in transmitting a signal at the maximum possible accuracy. As mentioned by others a heavier gauge cable will have less signal loss due to the slight reduction in resistance. This can translate to small improvements in sound quality versus mediocre cables, particularly when you are using good quality equipment, source material, and speakers. Lower resistance can also carry more signal (a slight oversimplification for clarity.). Think of it like pumping water through pipes. Bigger pipes will allow more water to flow. However, having holes in the pipe will lose some of the water. By the same analogy, having soldered connectors on a reasonably heavy gauge wire helps to "plug the holes" that would otherwise allow some of the audio signal to escape (as heat and EMF.) So, using these cables would be a huge step above most of the terrible quality generic speaker wire you buy in spools. These are sealed and oxygen-free, so they will also maintain that improved signal integrity years longer than generic spooled wire. From that perspective, paying extra money for heavy, higher-quality cables is really a bargain over the long haul. These cables are an even better bargain than most due to their above average build quality and remarkably low price. The bottom line: Unless you have spent literally thousands of dollars on your playback equipment and thousands more buying higher-quality recordings, you will not hear a difference between these and much more expensive cables. In some cases, thanks to the higher-quality construction, these cables will actually sound better than more expensive cables. I highly recommend these for the vast majority of music and home theater sound systems. The exceptions would be truly high-end gear and horribly low-end gear. For the high end, it may actually make an audible difference to spend more money on cables. For the low end, you would be better served by spending your money on better equipment like a cleaner amplifier or better speakers. Regardless, buying higher-quality cables than these will cost you significantly more money for minimal (and mostly inaudible) gains on all but the most expensive equipment. For reference, I have nearly $10k invested in my equipment, yet I use these because due to the high-quality construction of these cables, I know they are fully capable of carrying the best quality signal that my system can reproduce. I hope you found this helpful. ... show more

  • Audiophile Solution Quality for Big Box Store Price
Color: 12 Feet (Black)
None of all feel good about using a butter knife to strip cheap speaker wire to connect our fancy speakers. If like me - you are past the point in your life, you realize that your system is only as good as its weakest link. If you know what HD, 4k, HDR, Atmos, or even 5.1 or higher means - you should not ever use a bare speaker wire again. If there is one thing you can do to make your vintage or fancy new Atmos Equipment live up to what you spent, measure the distance - add whatever distance you need to hide or potentially vary speaker position slightly - and then buy that length Mediabridge Speaker Cable. I am no expert but the difference in sound from my new Yamaha CX-A5100/MX-A500 to SVS Subs and DefTech Speakers was flat-out different. The channel separation between left and right when listening in 2.1 Stereo for high quality or the impact, tone and decay of the SVS Sub made me smile - the lowest cost upgrade to my sound system were several types of Mediabridge Interconnects. I LOVE these Mediabridge ULTRA Series Cables and I am proud when someone looks behind my towers and takes note of the professional looking finish. I even purchased their 12 Gauge Oxy-Free Wires (400') to run my Atmos Speakers and their Gold Plated Spade and Banana Connectors. I was so pumped with these speaker wires, I added their FLEX Series HDMI (18gbs/4k 2.0) and various other products such as their subwoofer cable for my SVS PB13-Ultra Sub. When you spend $6k for your ATMOS PrePro and Amp - you don't want to cheap out the cables. After reading everything I could gobble up when designing my setup - I could not escape the conclusion that you can spend 3-4x more on other brands - and not beat the quality and sound achieved with these Mediabridge Solutions. Read the reviews anywhere - I did - then buy them. ... show more

  • Quality cables at a reasonable price
Color: 12 Feet (Black)
I was shocked when I went to buy speaker cables and saw what some companies are charging for them. Even these cables seem a little expensive, but only “a little.” As far as I can tell, the quality is excellent and they definitely do the job. Easy to connect with banana terminals.

  • Good quality
Color: 6 Feet (Black)
These speaker cables are really good quality. The banana plugs are definitely strongly attached to the cables. I like the look of these and was very glad to get away from bare twisted wire speaker cable attachments. These cables make a really strong connection to the A/V receiver and speakers.
