We needed a power lift chair for my husband’s abdominal surgery. This worked perfectly to help him get up. Easy to put together. Luckily the Fed Ex delivery man carried the two boxes into the front door for us as they were heavy. But once we got the boxes open, it was easy enough to put the back onto the chair. I was looking for a medium size chair and this is perfect. We already have two rocker recliners that are huge and we did not want another big bulky chair. The chair is very comfortable. You can adjust the back separately from the seat part. The only thing we do not like, is that the remote control stays lit up all the time. I just had sinus surgery snd have slept in this chair two nights. My husband will be having another abdominal surgery and the chair will come in handy again. He loves it. ... show more

This chair is everything I expected. It lays flat and the back and footrest are independently adjustable. Mine is the emerald green and it feels soft and velvety. The chair looks gorgeous. There is a decent amount of cushion, but I do use a thin memory foam pad for extra cushioning behind my back. I slept in the chair for six months following sternum surgery, and it is plenty comfortable. The chair has developed a bit of a creek while reclining, but I think it’s only an actuator that needs a bit of grease. My impression after six months is that it’s solid and should last a good long time. I haven’t had any experience with Mcombo customer service, so I can’t speak to that. But they do offer a solid product that is worth the price. ... show more

This recliner was purchased for me, have issues with my back. First, this was a little challenging to put together, the instructions showed a few pictures and no text (which would have been helpful). Took my husband 1 hour to set up. Size - I am 5' tall and the recliner seat is perfect for me. My husband is 5' 11" and the seat is too small for him. When I extend the recliner all the way it is very comfortable and when my husband does this he is too tall. Comfort - the recliner is a bit stiff, obviously, but feels great on my back as it is supportive. Color - just a tad darker then the picture, purchased grey recliner. All electric components work and they are very, very quiet (can't hear it when making adjustments). When fully extended the recliner feels wonderful - helps with my swollen legs and feet. Easy to get in and out of when recliner is in the upright position, I don't use that feature now, am able to stand up and get to my walker without issue. A friend of mine who is a physical therapist recommended I buy a power lift chair prior to my open heart surgery. I ordered this chair and it arrived the following day. My petite adult daughter assembled the chair for me with no difficulty. (It arrived in two boxes.) The pieces are a base, two sides and a back. No tools were required for assembly. The chair is extremely comfortable. It can recline completely if you wanted to sleep. Unlike other recliners, the headrest is adjustable avoiding the pushing your head too far forward of other chairs. It does a good job of lifting you to a near standing position. When I complete my recovery I will be giving the chair to my 97 year old mother. The price was comparable to a long rental period locally. ... show more

    • No padding, no customer service

I previously had a MCombo lift chair with heat and massage. The padding was so thin you could feel all the internal parts through the thin padding. Very uncomfortable especially in the leg rest. I bought a replacement MCombo lift chair, 11 months ago, without heat and massage hoping to cure the problem. But the padding is still very thin. It's actually painful to sit in it. In addition, the back reclines so far back that it is impossible to sit up fairly straight with the leg rest up. The back keeps reclining as the leg rest is raised. Finally, the AC/DC converter came loose and got crushed by the lift mechanism. Fortunately, I didn't get electrocuted in the process. This also caused one of the motors to stop working. I've tried finding a replacement motor with no luck. Nobody ever answers the support line at MCombo and they don't seem to return calls either. Don't buy from this company! ... show more

    • UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIR
If you are tall, don't buy this chair! The foot extension digs into your Achilles tendons. If you are looking for soft, relaxing comfort, don't buy this chair! The ONLY cushion is in the arm rests. It is like sitting on a slab of cement. I'm not not a thin person, but there is NO padding, and I am sitting on a pillow. Yes, it has multiple adjustments and raises to standing position. It is quiet. It is HEAVY. But if you're looking for comfort, DON'T BUY THIS CHAIR! I can't send it back in the boxes. So my only alternative is to donate to Salvation Army. I won't be buying another recliner online. Good luck! UPDATE: Talked with company at length. They graciously refunded the FULL price of chair. They were VERY KIND & UNDERSTANDING.
