This is literally the nicest desk I have ever bought, and it's inexpensive too. It is very sturdy, smooth, with a flawless lightly glossy finish. It was very easy to assemble, and while somewhat hefty, was not hard for me to move. I wanted a desk without any drawers to help encourage a paperless existence and to discourage clutter; seems like my prior desks always wound up having a junk drawer. The fact this desk does not have drawers also gives me more space to get comfortable and cross my legs with fat thighs, which my prior desk could not accommodate. I never write amazon reviews, but I like this desk so much. It was the easiest piece of furniture I have ever put together. Did it by myself in less than 10 minutes and it's really sturdy so far. The desk is aesthetically pleasing and a nice size.

I was looking for an inexpensive rattan or bamboo desk to replace a sad one I bought during the pandemic for working remotely. This one exceeded my expectations. It was well packaged, easy to unpack (even for 1 person), simple to put the legs on, and it goes perfectly with my boho decor. I am extremely happy with the MAYDEAR BAMBOO MULTIPURPOSE MODERN SIMPLE STUDY WRITING DESK/TABLE. Even my husband, who wasn't on board with it when I ordered it, thinks I made a good choice with this one. We set it up last night. We moved it in my sewing room, to use as my new sewing table. It is extremely nice looking, very sturdy, and not too heavy to move around. This is the easiest piece of furniture you'll ever put together. Most of the furniture that arrives at your house flat-packed, is usually a huge hassle to put together. Most of it tends to be pressed wood, and is extremely heavy. By contrast, this table is solid wood, easy to move around, and only has five pieces to assemble. There is only a desktop and four legs. Each leg is attached to the table top with two bolts that each have a washer. They provide the tool for tightening down the bolts, right in the product package. All the holes are pre-drilled. It took longer to take apart the old sewing table, than it did to put this one together. It even took longer to put together a laundry cart, then it did to build this table. I do consider this to be more of a table then a desk, because it doesn't have any drawers. After discussing it, my husband I talked about always replacing furniture with easy to assemble stuff, instead of the usual modular flatpack versions, that weigh a ton, and are a nightmare to assemble, sometimes because the directions aren't clear, and sometimes because of missing parts, or mis-drilled holes. This was an absolute snap to put together. Easy assembly; attractive real wood; light enough for one person to move around; very sturdy; combined with a very fair price, makes this table a winner in every respect. I highly highly recommend this table. It's always nice to have an extra table when you need one, and this one could easily be stored, when not in use, by just removing the legs. It really is that easy to put together, making this able to work as a portable piece of furniture, that you just bring out when you need it. ... show more
