  • Great knobby, grippy tire!
This was my first MTB tire purchase of the many to come through the years as I’m getting more involved in the activity. I very much needed a new rear wheel tire that was tubed previously. This Maxxis tire has made me a fan perhaps for life!! It wasn’t all that difficult to mount and install Tubeless as I instilled thought. The bead didn’t “pop” on my rim but, was very easy to hand pump it up with the sealant worked very well! I will be buying this tire for my rear from here on. Depending on what type of terrain I’ll be over. I haven’t really gone through too much mud with this thing, but in some sections where it has been muddy it felt like it got the traction from what I was putting through on my drive train. Great tire for me starting to dip my toes into this hobby/Health practice. ... show more

  • Great tire. Grips like Velcro.
This is the best tire on the market. Delivery was easy and on time.

  • Super grip, aggressive tread pattern.
Super grip with agressive tread pattern. I had to return one of them due to warp in tire. Great customer service replaced the tire once I provided video of warp.

  • so they are perfect.
These are the beefiest tires I can fit on my "normal" (non-fatty) 29er. Tubeless installation was a dream. They are very heavy compared to my XC tires, but I was looking for strong and burly, so they are perfect.

  • By far the best tire to run here in Colorado
By far the best tire to run here in Colorado. It is an extremely aggressive tread design and grips to the trail. The recommended PSI is 35-50 but if you are running tubeless I like to keep it around 28 PSI. It makes for a slower rolling tire but also a lot less bouncy. I pair this is a Maxxis High Roller II 29x2.3 rear and it makes the perfect pair for an all mountain bike. There is a reason why you see everyone ridding with Maxxis tires in Colorado. ... show more

  • Wire beaded
I had my shop install this tire on my rim and they said it was wire beaded and that's why it's so heavy and difficult to install. Also, once it was installed by my shop's mechanic, we notice a severe wobble in the tire that could not be rectified. Now I'm stuck with a heavy, wire beaded, warped tire. I do not recommend this tire!!! ... show more

  • 29x2.5 = DH Casing, Dual Compound, EXO, Tubeless Ready
Pros: Tanky - probably indestructible - no worries about punctures on the pointy rocks in the Wasatch front, great grip, can run very low pressures without squirming, make for a nice landing pad Cons: Tanky - 1200g weight, stiff sidewalls - ride quality is not as nice as the exo minions over small rocks, ... show more

  • Ok product
I ride 10 miles a day and about 20% of that is off road. I got a flat on my fron tire in the first two weeks. The sealant I put in the tire worked but the tire kept going flat. I ordered another one and so far it seems ok. (2 weeks)
