I’m a caregiver to an 88 year old and I got him these shorts. He haaaaates shorts! Got all mad at me. With this heatwave in the Ariona desert, I had to put my foot down and got him to do it. He put the shorts on. So thank you. Now I have to wash dry wash dry wash dry. It appears that someone has completely changed his mind about shorts. So I bought more shorts to relieve myself of some laundry duty, but noooooo. He will NOT wear any shorts but these shorts. And they’re very well made, will never fall apart, and they do not fade. So um, thank you. Thank you verrry much. His measurements are xtra thin. No I’m not starving him. He reversed his heart disease at 80 w diet, anything is baggy on him less than trim fit. They will fit as expected, I am sure. He’s 88 but they would look great on any aged guy. A bit snazzy for him at first but they look great on him and make him feel good! Then I got him sneakers that match…blue and white ombre and he does look sprite. Perhaps a little too much sprite. One of the ladies in her eighties out here spotted him in that outfit and before I knew it “Ding Dong ” she was at the door w a cheesy casserole, so I invited her in and boy was he snotty! “I don’t eat animals,” and turned his head back to the TV. After weeks of buying and returning swim trunks, finally trunks that are true to size! Like most of you searching and reading reviews based on sizing and price like I did, its amazing how many manufacturers state that the shorts were true to fit...well after weeks of comical try-ons I finally found swim trunks that are true to size. I'm 5'8 160 pounds athletic build...I always buy medium or 31 inch waist and these shorts arent baggy or skinny, they fit accordingly! I will never buy swim trunks that costs more tha 20 bucks, these are better than I expected! ... show more

I just got these but writing a review regarding how the product fits to help others, especially bigger guys with a 40+ waist size. I wear a waist size of 44" to 46" in jeans and the 2XL fits me perfectly. According to the size chart for this specific item the 2XL shows as 44" to 46" so there is no doubt the size chart is right on the money. Although I just now tried these on they seem well made and look cool, exactly as pictured. I recommend this item, especially for plus size men. I would warn anyone to not buy if a size chart for waist size is not included in the product listing for the specific item you are viewing. If the size chart stops at XL or XXL and is too small for you don't assume the bigger sizes will fit. This item had an accurate size chart well above my large size which is why I bought this item and I am pleased they fit me so well. ... show more

    • Fits true; Good deal for decent quality
Size M for my 6 foot slender athletic runner/cyclist Bo so yeah he’s got those thighs.. but he likes them! Long enough and nice to have the drawstring as well as the elastic in the waist. I told him I’d cut out the mesh sac lining but he claimed it was comfortable. (Hey man, I’m just a woman but it looked snug to me. Doesn’t that stuff itch? What do I know?) could easily be comfortable in a large too I think. Got them for pool and water park use mostly. Looks like quality construction, seams and fabric should hold up. Pockets could use drainage but the fabric is soft, quick dry, kind of noisy when it moves (kinda weird right?) It doesn’t seem to bother him. I liked the look of decent shorts when you throw a tee shirt on with it. Presentable enough to be in a bar afterward. NICE! ... show more

    • A little stiff.

There's one thing I need being a bit bigger of a guy and that's flexibility in my clothes. My only real complaint is that they're a little stiff climbing out of my pool it's a bit of a struggle not being able to bend my legs completely to step out I typically just pull them up a bit and I'm all good. But besides that I love the fit and would recommend to anyone who cant find anything in the stores. Love the way they tie too makes them fit on my waist that much better. ... show more

These shorts arrived quickly but that was pretty much the end of the positives on this purchase. I usually wear an XL in shorts like these so XL is what I ordered. They sorta fit; however, the inner lining was extremely small to the point where your legs wouldn't hardly fit through the holes. Speaking of holes...Lol...the pockets (both of them) arrived with large holes in them, which is understandable considering how thin they were. Anyhow...needless to say it was a no-go for me.
