I don't like that they paint the aluminum casting with a thick grey enamel, seems like that is done to hide the sins of the casting....I don't recall other brand like Ridgid being painted they are either plain metal or coated with chip resistant substance that is more durable than the thick enamel on this product, the hanger hook eye hole was not properly finished and had some sharp metal flashing that could cut your finger if not filed down. The jaw teeth were sharp and the knurled adjustment ring operated smoothly....there were graduation markings on the jaw leg to indicate opening size. ... show more
