Sturdy, feels and looks heavy-duty, for my 60+lb Pitty. Although intuitively it suggests otherwise, I've never had a problem with the snap on/off style lock. Heavy chain and perfect fit (Med-Lg for her 17" neck) She's a doll but stubborn (sound familiar?) and will make use of her weight to sniff everything. This is a great collar! I have PiBulls and they tend to pull, just a bit. These martingale collars are the way to go. They have limited pinch - just enough to get their attention. The collar is well-built, sturdy, and quite pretty. Not only is this the best collar on the market, but it is also reasonably priced. I was recommended this brand by the rescue where I got my dog. My first time hearing about Max & Neo! This is a great collar. It was exactly what I was looking for and has held up great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because when the metal gets wet, it leaves marks on my dog’s coat.

This band was recommended by a trainer and it's about perfect! Heavy duty, no color fading, and good adjustability. We bought one for the other dog too. I may never get another brand again!

I got this for my dog who is notorious for slipping out of her collar and harness. This collar is impossible to slip out of very sturdy and over all great material. It’s a really nice collar I’m very happy with it.

    • Good collar for dogs with skinny necks

My dog is a F1b bernedooldle and has the poodle build, which means he has a skinny neck even though he weighs 45 pounds. We'd tried both the medium and small in another brand, but the medium was too big and even though the small fit his neck, it was hard to take off over his head and ears. Since this one is fully adjustable and has a buckle, it solved the problem. It's also very sturdy and works with training a dog who likes to pull. I recommend it. ... show more
