Just put this bad boy together last night. The wooden hammer it came with broke when I was nearly completed. I was trying to set it up long ways, but the parts available do not allow for that. They do give 3-4 configurations that they give extra pieces for. Follow the instructions and it's a fairly easy build. I really like the washable material it comes with. It's nice sleek design. I actually like it more than I thought I might. Love that it is so easily moved (empty), although that could just as easily be a disadvantage. It's sturdier than I envisioned, but you still need to be sensible. It is NOT designed for HEAVY objects. That said, it is perfect for my intended use.

Assembly was tedious, loud, and sometimes frustrating. Not difficult, but tedious and frustrating. The listing says each shelf can hold up to 30 pounds, but I'm hesitant to test that theory. It took me a bit of time to figure out how to build it but once I got the flow, it was easy. Once I put everything on it, I did scare myself cause I tried to move it and the bottom part came apart, luckily the other 2 sections were heavy enough with stuff that it didn’t tumble over and I was able to put it back together. As you can see, it can hold some serious weight. I love it, it displays all of my favorite things in an organized fashion. I may need a 2nd one! ... show more

This shelving unit is very sturdy when assembled. I rather love the finished product. It was a little difficult to assemble for me, though. It took me about 7 minutes to assemble each shelf. Know, though, that I am not a proficient furniture assembly person. Once I got it assembled, I was really impressed with the size (about 6 foot tall) and the sturdiness. This has sturdy plastic connectors, and aluminum dowels that only need to be tapped into place with an included mallet. Nice options to build several styles in instructions. Low price. But Hard to move once built. Comes apart very easily. And has Very thin bars as shelfs, that can crinkle and become usable if too much weight or pressure is added.
