Just used this bee veil for my very first hands on experience with bee hives! Before I approached the hives, I had my bee-mentor look this over for any obvious concerns that someone with experience might have and she was impressed with this veil! I didn't get too hot in it, nor was I at all uncomfortable with it on - in fact, I forgot it was even on! It never moved or shifted for me, the under-the-chin drawstring stayed nice and snug. The arm hole elastic stayed in place - I did have my bee mentor give it a good tug in back to ensure it was securely in place and sealed all the way around. In my mind that may be the one downside to this - just the fact that it's not attached to the suit. I do like that I can just wear this veil in the future if I chose to do so. Since I didn't get stung, it stayed put, and I forgot it was on, I would call that a success. I'm not super keen on the camo look but in the end, who really cares - function over fashion lol! ... show more

Product fits well. Everything can be fastened snugly keeping you very well protected. Material is decent quality as well. The only thing I don't like is that it will be difficult to wash.

The arm holes do not match the pictures. They are in the wrong place, have small tear holes above both arms (out the package - i did not tear them), and are way too small. My slim 11 year old daughter could not even fit her arms through the armholes. There were threads about the bands that could be cut to make the holes expand wider, but even then they are not positioned as pictured in the product photos where there is material under the arms and wraps around you mid torso. Not worth the money. You can get a real veil from a legitimate beekeeping supply company for less money. ... show more

I’m a first timer myself. Seems to be very well made. I’m a bigger guy so the shoulder straps are a joke. I just use this and a Heavy white hooded sweatshirt seems to work out great.
