Love the larger jar- can make a week’s worth of coffee at once. I don’t put the grounds in the mesh cylinder; I put the grounds in the water loose in the jar and then put the mesh cylinder with the silicon seal. The two of us love cold brew. We don't drink it every day, usually just on the weekends. It's such a treat. We enjoy our "regular" coffee very strong and our cold brew even stronger. The 32 ounce mason jar accompanies a very sturdy filter, which I fill completely to the brim with moistened grounds. I let it brew for 48 hours on the counter. It can be placed in the fridge, but my thoughts are that room temp for 2 days yields a stronger brew. After I slowly pull the filter out, I end up with about 29 of the original 32 ounces and bring it back up to the brim by adding 3 ounces of water. I pour 8 ounces of brew and 2 ounces of Half & Half into our mugs and a bit of sweetener. And then we indulge. It's like having dessert for breakfast. Two days in a row, LOL. The rest of the day we drink our regular brew. The only reason I'm not giving this product 5 stars is that the pour spout is not leak proof. When I'm making only a small amount of cold brew, I'm not willing to waste even an ounce of it to wipe up on the counter. Still a good product. The metal filter alone is worth the price. Perfect for making cold brew. Not a lot of effort has to be put into making it with this. The strainer holds the coffee in so no floaties get out into what you are drinking. This is very easy clean.
