  • So far, so good.
I've only had this a short time, but in that time I am quite happy with it. I am a home health nurse and have had problems with the less expensive pulse oximeters being able to read on patient's with poor circulation, or heavy nail polish. This one has not let me down yet. UPDATE 11/12/22 Still very happy with it. For me it has definitely been worth the money. I have not had a patient yet that I couldn't get a reading on; even after they tell me no one can get a reading on them. I will happily buy another when this one gives out. ... show more

  • Works with cold hands
I've been thinking about getting this for a while but the expense stopped me. I can't say how accurate it is, I know for heart rate it seems pretty accurate. However, I needed a product that could be used during movement but more importantly with cold fingers. I purchased one at $159 and was disappointed that one didn't always work with cold fingers. Easy to use and only take a few seconds for accurate reading versus my others I had to sit still and wait up to a minute. ... show more

  • Most reliable and accurate oximeter! It's $$$ though🫤
I have lung cancer and need oxygen on occasion. I have bought so many oximeters to try and monitor, but when put up against the ones at the doctor's office they were always off by quite a bit. Also old ones would take FOREVER to figure out my oxygen level. Not something you want to wait on when your struggling to breathe. Between the fast response, and the app to track and explain other values this is a great investment to track my levels. Plus when double checked at the doctor's office, Massimo is correct everytime. I also love the continuous monitoring aspect. I would highly recommend, but the cost is the only downside. I understand quality cost money, but health equipment like this is hard to find, at least ones that actually work. ... show more

  • A brand you can trust
I’ll start by saying that the ONLY reason I even considered spending this amount of money for a pulse oximeter was the brand. As an ICU nurse I am well acquainted with the Masimo brand and have found it to be a brand you can trust. This pulse oximeter while expensive, is packed with little features and of course, provides accurate results every time. ... show more

  • The accuracy defends its reputation as a FDA-approved medical-grade device.
The device is easy to use. Respiration rate monitoring is accurate. What I like most is the device allows you to extract your history data as a csv report which can be shared with healthcare providers for a quick review.

  • 10 times the price of others but probably worth it
Purchased here. This unit is supposed to be more accurate than most of the others and in comparison with hospital and medical office versions, it apparently is. It works well, but it is slow because of the extra information and verification it provides. I have seen the Masimo brand on larger machines in two hospitals and I have pulled out the MightySat and compared the readings. However various stationary and mobile models in the hospital created confusion and disconnects - Masimo must train professionals how to use their units. They may have good math and science behind their products, but the physical quality of the products should be better. The Masimo MightySat provided matching reading with larger units so it should be trustworthy. The use and instructions should be much better and the iOS App needs a lot of work with better reporting available. It is confusing and sometimes hard to make unit settle down and provide a good reading. This is not a toy - it should be used by people who need to know their peripheral SO2 readings - it would be better if the unit could quietly transmit its readings to the APP and even better if a sleeping probe could be attached at night time with a low oxygen alarm warning. Not a lot to ask for $300 - about 10 times the price of others. ... show more

  • Bigger than most finger pulse-ox.
It’s significantly bigger than the Nonin I’ve had for years. Very bulky in my pocket and “clumsier” when using it. I’m wishing I reordered the Nonin that I broke.
