husband was so against these as he feels this type of correction is cruel and traumatizing, but we recently bought a property in the country with a large yard, no fence, and lots of enticing critters. To top that off, we're on a corner lot and while not overly busy, it is busy enough. I told him I'd rather deal with a little trauma than dead or lost dogs. Our pitties learned the boundaries quickly. The younger one loves running around outside and we feel comfortable with her doing so. My older boy is a little traumatized and will only use about half of the space he could - nearest the house - so my husband thinks it is a fail, but hey - he's the squirrel and bunny chaser of the two and again ... show more

    • This did not work at all

This was a relatively easy installation because it could be set on the ground or buried. It cannot be buried more than 3 inches. However, after we got it installed and everything was good, the collars would not work. We tried turning the radius down to zero and stood in the middle of the yard and the collars were still beeping and shocking. We even tried shutting everything off and leaving the collars plugged in overnight, and they still did not work. I figured the odds of both of the collars not working were pretty low. I read the reviews and they said typically one of the collars did not work and they got sent a replacement so I contacted the seller and asked for a replacement. I got connected to Amazon support chat and they just sent me an entirely new setup. This was fine because they told us to just return the bad collars with the whole box they sent us, however, the collars still did not work! I do not know what is wrong but we have tried everything and we are done. We have decided to send the whole thing back. I wish we wouldn't have wasted the time and energy on it! ... show more

We already have an underground fence but need collars for two dogs...... This box we were easily able to connect to our existing fence and it works perfect. The collars are sturdy flexible plastic and don't seem to bother the dogs. Super easy to charge and power on/off.

It comes with everything you need! I rescued my dog from the shelter and he has realized he can jump over my fence and has started to escape. I bought him a shock collar and it works great! But that's for only when I'm with him. When I let him outside to play, if I'm in the house he will jump my fence and go. I got this because with his shock collar he responds to the beep and is terrified of the vibration. So with this he won't get near the fence and I can be inside the house and feel at ease knowing when I open the door, he will still be in my yard and not down the road. ... show more

Good value for what you expect -- just something to beep or static when your dog gets close to a wire. IMO this is all you need - your dog gets trained to it then you don't need it anymore. So you just need something cheap to train them on. When you connect the wires to the device just make sure they don't cross or it won't work. I don't think the collar receivers are waterproof so be aware. Customer service is only over email but they are responsive and take care of you. ... show more

This product had good reviews and was a reasonable price so we decided to give it a try. The rubber covers came off the collar within the first month of use. See pictures. The actual collar strap is durable. The material is holding up to daily use. The blue line we have run along the fence is very thin and not durable. When installing it, we popped it and had to start over. We installed it around the entire yard and the string popped again. It wasn’t even tight. I will need to spend today repairing it.
