Bought this and couldn't be happier. I have a larger fishing boat so the cost of buying so much ice and having to stop on my way out was starting to add up and bother me enough to look into investing in an ice machine. This thing was pretty easy to assemble/install and works great. This thing will pay for itself faster than I imagined and saves me time getting ready by having ice on hand. Works fast too. Very convenient, love that I can use distilled water (or coconut water) and make my own ice cubes pretty quickly. The first ones are done in around 6 minutes, and it takes an hour or so to cycle through and fill the cube tray. Because the entire unit isn't refrigerated/frozen, the cubes start melting so they have to be transferred into a container and put in the freezer. I've found this means they're already dripping and starting to melt, and then they freeze stuck together and need to be separated. Love that I can put it away when summer is over and I don't use ice until it's hot again. ... show more

This countertop ice maker works about as well as any other. We use this all day, all night, every day of the week. It's on all the time. I descale it every once in a while. It works well and has not given us any trouble. It can make quite a lot of ice. It has a very sensitive sensor for how full the basket is, however all you have to do is quickly knock a piece of ice out of the way and it will make more. ... show more
