TL;DR - This game IMO is best played on 'fidelity' mode to showcase the prowess of the PS5. Also the game's great too. There are two options to play this game on which are 'fidelity' and 'performance' modes. Fidelity gives you ray tracing and prettier graphics, but chops the framerate to a solid 30 FPS so gameplay is not as smooth. The latter on the other hand gives you better performance at a locked 60 FPS but no ray tracing and less pretty graphics. Insomniac were spot on with the ray-tracing in this game and it actually makes a difference as opposed to a few other titles that use it such as Watch Dogs Legion that make ray tracing look like a gimmick. IMO I highly recommend playing this on Fidelity mode because its genuinely a gorgeous game best played on a 4K TV/monitor. And the game is a blast to play through even if you didn't play the first game on PS4. ... show more

I loved this game! The graphics, the game play, the story. All amazing! It’s no wonder it got so much buzz! I beat the game on the medium difficulty. Then my 6 year wanted to play and he was able to beat it on the easy setting. He’s obsessed now. This is the first video game story mode he has beaten. It was fun watching try and solve puzzles and figure out where to go. He needed occasional help trying to figure out some stuff, but he always wanted to be the one who completes it. The game gives a good message that everyone can be a hero and achieve whatever you propose in life. Game is awesome, it is a expanding story from Miles Morales who appeared on the original Spiderman, new Venom abilities are awesome. Main story is a bit short, but if you do all the side quests and activities then you can get some more time with the game. Very fun game and interesting story. If you're a fan of the first game then you'll feel right at home. Something about Miles Morales that makes him feel more realistic than Peter.

Loved the game although it is short if you play it on easy and try to run through it the best way to enjoy is playing on hard and going for the platinum trophy it was very fun. My only complaint was the price because it is a dlc but it’s totally worth it in my opinion will replay during the holidays

Highly recommend playing the PS4 spider man first because the miles edition does not hold your hand during fighting. It is an extremely short game, could finish it in one weekend; but I love the representation in the game. There’s a ton of diversity and it’s a great launch title for PS5. We’ve finally reached the point that the graphics look as good as a movie. Not to mention the amazing haptic feedback of every web you shoot from your hand with the new dualsense controller. Definitely worth it for $50. Don’t hesitate.
