Martingale collars are awesome. Purchased two for my dogs. They came in a very cute little box. Great fit and excellent nighttime reflection. Good quality. This is the third collar so I hope they’re not able to take off and chew through!

Well made reflective martingale collar. I like that it has a buckle on it so I can size it. A lot of the newer brands just slip over the head. I want my dog to be secure at all times. Very pleased with this purchase. It was a good value too.

The webbing on this collar is thinner and more flexible than many large collars, but has proven to be plenty strong enough for my 70lb pit mix. The materials are of good quality with sturdy seams and rings. I can leave the collar slightly loose at my dogs shoulders but it tightens up nicely when he begins to pull and doesn't slip over his bucket of a head because of the Martingale design. My dog trainer urged me to switch to a Martingale collar to gain better control. My miniature poodle has always worn harnesses because I worried that a collar might do harm to her neck. I was persuaded otherwise by the trainer (although I've not yet seen the vet) and very carefully selected a collar which allowed some flexibility in sizing. I was immediately impressed by the sturdiness of this item and how well it fits. My puppy had no problem adjusting to it. In fact, she seems to prefer it over her harness. Perhaps it is less restrictive? She has now been wearing it for almost a month. It appears brand new. She is doing better in training as it causes her to respond better to nay corrective "pops." My border collie pup can easily slip a flat collar unless I fasten it very tightly. This is a great alternative for situations in which I'm worried about her pulling away. Used sparingly, it has also really helped me work on her reactivity to other dogs and joggers - it's not a choke collar and I'd never 'pop her collar' to give her a correction, but a quick tug to turn in another direction gets her to follow me immediately and brings her focus back on me more effectively than a harness or flat collar. ... show more
