So, I started RYO and needed something to keep a pack handy. I have kept soft packs in my front shirt pocket for many decades. That is never comfortable with hard packs. It took some getting used to. But, this is the only way to go for RYO. These cases actually pleasantly surprised me, once I got over the general annoyance of my switch to hard packs. They are the best value for what you get, I believe. They are strong. And, if you take your time and you are rolling your smokes well, you can actually fit 20 into these. You need to mind the pattern you are inserting them with. Front and back rows of 7, middle row of 6, but go from end to end. This will leave two spaces at the final end, and the 19th will go in without a problem, if you rack them and make sure everything is lined up. That last one you have to be a bit gentle with and don't push by the filter until it's in beyond the filter. It'll go. OOOOOOO OOOOOO OOOOOOO <-- gently I am ordering more, now. While 4 is a great number, and they do well to give you different colors so you can track where they are in your mind, I actually want to have one carton's worth, so I can fill them all up once, then more easily keep tabs on how often I am smoking a carton, compared to before. There are some flaws in the plastic, but just from not taking the time to clean the sprues and flashing up very well, and that's probably what keeps the cost lower, so I don't fault these guys for that. Nothing a little trimming and buffing won't fix, if you were going for perfection. But, as another reviewer has demonstrated, it might be just as neat and easy to customize the look with stickers or plastic paint. I've only been using these for 2 or 3 weeks, now. We'll see how long the hinges last after enough opening/closing. They seem fine, so far, but they are just bent, molded parts, so... they will eventually fail. At this price point, I would consider 4-6 months a fair use. We'll see. Also wondering if maybe some strategically placed stickers might extend that hinge life a bit. ... show more

I wanted cases that would both easily allow me to pack my cigarettes and allow my husband and I to tell the difference between his reds and my menthols (he's using push button cases). These fit the bill perfectly. Like other reviewers I was a little disappointed that I got 2 of the same color (black) instead of 4 different colors. But since I really didn't get them for their looks, it wasn't worth taking a star off for. They're kind of cheap looking anyway but still cute. I can fit 19 cigarettes in it which isn't bad. One did come kind of scuffed but not very noticeably. For the price, these are great and do what they're meant to do. They also allows me to make 4 packs at once, which means I can make an entire carton, put the extra cigarette in Ziploc bags, and stick them in the freezer. Well worth the money. I don't know how well they'll hold up but even if they only hold up for a month, at $2 a week it's still worth it. Edit: I figured out how to fit 20 in a pack. First add 6 in the top row to the left, then 6 in the middle row in the middle, then 6 in the top row to the left. That should leave enough room to carefully add another cigarette to the top and bottom row for a full 20 pack. Have had them for almost a year and they've held up pretty well so far. My more expensive push button cases broke within 5 months. Seem to keep the cigarette fresh. I'm ordering more so that I can make a carton at a time. Hopefully, I won't get anymore black so that my husband and I can tell our packs apart without having to open the cases since his push button cases are gone. ... show more

I use it for all my ID / debit cards works great for that. Of course I don't open it very often. However, the thin plastic hinges on the lid already cracked when opening it the first time, so they will snap off fairly quickly if used several times a day. Also I did not receive any of the colors that were advertised. Instead got 1 extremely dark green, 1 red and two black ones. The marbilization advertised was not present. Did not receive a pink, purple, blue, orange or a light green. And yes I read the fact that only four of them were in the order. However it seems like some false advertising to me, to put a picture of six of them up there and in colors that aren't available. ... show more

The 4 on the left there are about 8 years old! And I’m hard on stuff. Started out with 8, lost a couple and hinges broke on a couple. Just bought 4 more. Can’t beat these for the money and they’re getting hard to find. The packs with the dividers in them suck, might squeeze 15 into one, with these I get 18 fat ones in a pack. The injector I’ve been using for the past couple years has over 15000 cigs thru it, so these packs take a pounding. Got some good colors to. Thanks ... show more
