  • Soft on skin! NON TOXIC!!!
Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Its soft on my skin and eyes also just the right amount of soapyness to remove make up. I have been on a mission to find non toxic skin and hair products! Era botanics is one of only a FEW that produces safe hair and skin products!!

  • Well, yeah, ugly, red scaly spots are gross but also weep-worthy (more like scream-worthy) to my vain self.
Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
After trying the excema/psoriasis cream I don't need weeks to test this facial cleanser; I have been buying the most expensive Aveda stuff, then tried the Andalou natural stuff and Aubrey Organics stuff for excema/psoriasis and it just got worse. With Aubrey Organics it didn't get any worse, but not improved enough so the search continued. I had very fair, very clear skin at 62, almost never needed makeup. When the red, scaly spots began to appear they were immediately very glaringly noticeable; cleansing and makeup made them worse. The really red, scaly spot high on my right cheek started small but got to be nearly the size of a quarter, the one on the left was like a reddened streak down my jawline. I've had wonderful luck with organic foods and health - my cholesterol went from off the charts, past the red line why-are-you-still-even-breathing 2 years ago to only midway up the absolutely stellar, healthy green column. I also lost that poochy stomach weight - so why not use organics topically as well? When the red spots appeared and then stayed, my dermatologist gave me scrips (why bother) and told me never to wash my face again - ohhhkkaay, but yuck. I am very active, sweat, oil & salt on my face is disturbing and cannot be just rinsed off so my complexion suffered even more. Not just the excema spots, I then had red blemish spots all over my face. I've struggled with this for three months now; I am of the opinion that if my skin had to start wrinkling a year ago it just seems unfair to have the dry, reddened, blemished skin thing going on top of that, accompanied by -ewe- scaly looking skin. The Era Organics cream had done so much already with minimizing the spots in just a couple of weeks and getting rid of the flakiness...... So I get the brilliant idea to try the facial wash by ERA organics since the cream was so wonderful. After only a couple of days, I woke up this morning, my husband turned to give me a kiss and then frowned - so I panicked. Ran into the bathroom and the red is barely discernible, flaky is gone completely. The spot on the left cheek is history. I asked him why he frowned and he said he had been hearing so much about the red stuff that every morning when he wakes up he checks to see if it's worse. Not because he looks for flaws, just so he can know what kind of morning entertainment he can get out of my skin drama. Which, as a devoted, fairly new wife, I think is just mean..... So I feel perfectly justified in some new clothes. Ok, so I pay for them and he never reacts other than "You look really gorgeous in that", but that in itself is fishy. I have never gone wrong with organic ingredients. Every product possible in my house and life has gone to 'green' and it is amazing how much better everything is without chemicals. I even do my laundry and cleaning green and finally have whites again. I have no idea why it took me this long to realize that skin care would be far better as well, but duh. Era Organics is the best thing I have found and it is more affordable than the designer products. I just don't trust what's in them. Did you know the ingredients can be altered at any time with non-organics and many times companies don't even have to disclose this to us? Yet organics do. ... show more

  • BEWARE - this product has a toxic ingredient that can harm your eyes!
Size: 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
It's the second ingredient on the list, Cocamidopropyl Betaine , so there's a lot of it. It is a chemical, not a natural or organic product. Too bad I waited til this morning to research side effects (well I couldn't see the bottle or the monitor when it first started for the burning tears) - do your own research and you will find all kinds of articles about what it can do to your eyes and several call it toxic. It was named "Allergen of the Year" for body products in 2004. There's no point in checking further on the ingredient list as this one covers all my symptoms. Other people have experienced the same extreme irritation from other products containing it that I did, the outer corners of my eyes felt like they had been rubbed with acid and no amount of face cream or lotion would soothe it. Some managed to migrate in my eyes when I was rinsing my face on January 16th (I was trying to be so careful to keep it out of my eyes but apparently didn't) and it set up an immediate and acute inflammation of burning and watering, constant tears for the next 18 days before I had a full day of no tears but still scary blurred vision, then it started again when I had to go outside. I didn't go to a doctor because Tyler said he isn't aware of anything in the product that can cause irritation, so I thought it was just another allergy on my long list like peeling onions and would quickly go away on its own. I emailed Tyler on the 16th about the burning tears, again on the 17th, the 18th, the 19th, and the 22nd telling him repeatedly just how bad the reaction was. Not once did he suggest I needed to get them flushed out with water which is the official recommendation for eye contact with this chemical, only to say he didn't know what it could be. As the owner of the company he should be fully aware of all ingredients used and all possible side effects and should have informed me on the 16th I needed medical attention. It caused allergic conjunctivitis and corneal irritation, had to wash my face multiple times every day to get the salty crust off my cheeks from the tears that turned my skin raw. My eyeballs were red, my eyelids a brownish red rim around them from the inflammation. The burning pain was at least a 9 to start with unless I had my eyes closed after eye drops, so most of the past 6 weeks has been totally wasted with my eyes closed, when you can't see you can't do anything at all. My eyes became extremely sensitive to cold temps and moving air in the beginning, so going outside was like having knives stabbed in my eyeballs even wearing safety goggles. Every time they would improve a little, I would have to go outside and the cold would trigger a setback. I was told by my hairdresser on Feb 19th when she saw my eyes that it was chemical conjunctivitis, it had happened to her (different product) and that I should have gone to the ER right away to get them flushed - I had never heard of conjunctivitis so I had no way of knowing this. Of course after 5 weeks there was no point but I did get the earliest appointment with my eye doctor. Here it is 6 weeks later and the watering has finally almost stopped (3rd day now), the burning sensation is down to about a 1 but both eyeballs are still red and they hurt, they just ache - moving around the house creates enough air movement to cause pain. How in the world can a company expect a face cleanser to not ever end up in your eyes??? The bottle says "Avoid contact with eyes. If discomfort occurs discontinue use." According to HERA It should say: "Immediate eye rinsing with water for several minutes is recommended after accidental splashing of CAPB solutions, as eye irritation reactions may occur." I went to my eye doctor (optometrist) who said the good news was it didn't appear to have done any permanent damage to my cornea or the back of my eye. If the redness and eyeball pain continues I'll have to go to an ophthalmologist and see what else happened. I also read where some of Burt's Bees products contain it, so now it will be my #1 ingredient to check for before buying any new product. I'm desperate for a good face cream for sensitive skin after Neutrogena discontinued their Ageless Essentials, the reason I tried this Era-Organics brand. I think it's very irresponsible for this company to use an ingredient in a face product without doing the research to know side effects. Cocamidopropyl Betaine May contain harmful impurities or form toxic breakdown products, itching, burning and blistering of skin. Synthesized from coconuts, this chemical is found in body products and may be labeled natural or organic. ... show more
