I hesitated to try this acidified body wash from Lume because it’s so pricey but I finally broke down after it seemed like my Dove body wash was just not cutting it anymore. (Do we just get stinkier as we age no matter what???) Despite the price tag, I can’t deny this body wash is in my shower to stay. A little goes a long way, the lather is so rich from even a little drizzle on my loofah, I am no longer noticing body odor creeping up through the day/night, my skin is very happy with it, and the smell is lovely. I used to only use Dove because I have very sensitive skin. Obnoxiously sensitive. But this body wash is doing its job with no dryness, no itching, no tightness, no complaints. I got a sample size of the Coconut and something scent of this, and was so happy it helped with odors where sweat gets trapped. Since I bought a deodorant in this scent, I chose the Lavender Sage. Scent is great, but the protection against odor is very short when compared to the other scent. Maybe I need to use more, who knows? ... show more

I love the coconut scent and I have it on subscription. It lathers up very nicely, rinses clean, and along with the deodorant, I smell good til my next shower. It leaves my skin soft and never tight or dry.

I don't have much body odor so I wasn't originally tempted by Lume. My husband had started using the deodorant cream and it worked really well for him. Then we went camping and I forgot my deodorant at home, so I borrowed his cream. It was amazing - one application under my arms worked all weekend (4 days of no bathing) for me. I was a convert. That made me want to try the body wash, and it's amazing. As I said, I don't have much body odor, but now I have NO body odor. It's not super soapy but it does lather up well enough. I normally use a moisturizing body wash, so I thought my skin might feel dry after using the Lume, but it feels nice, not dry at all. (I do still apply lotion after getting out of the shower.) I think Lume reacts with some people's body chemistry to create a strong odor. With the deodorant cream, I get a strong odor for about 10 seconds when I first put it on, but then no odor at all - even for days. With the body wash, I haven't noticed any odor at all when I use it or later. I'm a total convert! ... show more

I am so private. It was challenging writing this review. Hopefully this helps women who are going through what I went through. My body chemistry has been changing. I turned 50 this year (female). I finally found a product that leaves me feeling clean and eliminates all odors. I just use a small amount for my private areas and regular soap for my entire body. This product produces lots of lather with that small amount. I will continue to buy this product. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. I feel so confident now. This product changed my life. I am an extremely clean person but there is a period of time in your life that your body changes and regular body soap is no longer working. Lume has made a big change in my life. I've been a fan of Lume's cream deodorant for a while now, and decided to try the body wash. It's on the pricey side compared to what I typically buy, but I don't think I'm ever going back. The scent is lovely (it doesn't linger after you rinse off, only smell it while lathering up). I don't know that I would agree with the 24 hour odor control claim which is why I give it 4 stars, but that seems like a big ask for a body wash. It does a great job of eliminating odors after a long sweaty day or a tough workout, but if I don't pair this with my Lume deodorant after a shower then odors do develop in the sweatier areas of the body. It lathers really well, and I only need to use a small amount on my loofah for to wash my entire body, so even though it's on the pricy side for the size, it will last me a long time.
