    • This nose trimmer is terrible! Here's why.

After writing this review [below] the company contacted me. They offered to replace the head, I accepted. The head is clearly different than what came with the product,. The new head does work better than the old head. I appreciate companies that reach out when there is a problem and try to resolve them. They did. I would expect a nose trimmer named the "Weed Whacker" would really get the job done. It doesn't even come close to a good product. There is no power. I turned it on after charging and it sounded and worked like the battery was dying.The power doesn't even compete with my very cheap trimmer. The batter will not hold a charge till my next trimming, roughly a couple weeks. It is ashame because the trimmer and packaging look good. But it just doesn't work. I don't like writing reviews, I take the lost and tell my friends if it comes up. I really felt ripped off by this product. ... show more

    • Does not cut short hair, only long nose and ear hair

I used the manscape to shave my body and work’s wonderful. A week later I used the weed wackier on the short hair in my ear and nose. I was disappointed with the inability to shave or cut short hair. I used the weed wacker on the short hair on my arm and noticed that it did not cut the short hairs to skin level. Then I used the weed wacker on long hair on my arm and noticed that it worked as advertised. The engineers did not check to see if the weed wacker cut hair stubble, which it does not. I see this as an engineering failure to testing and customer satisfaction. The weed wacker needs to be redesigned for short hair stubble. The silver cap does not allow hair stubble to reach the blade. ... show more

I got tired of my somewhat noisy Panasonic ER430 while doing my ears. The Panasonic was much cheaper, has more power, and has a little vacuum. But the marketing for the Manscape drew me in with its promises of ecstatic grooming. I wanted to save my hearing in the long run with less decibels in my ear canal. Yes, the form factor is curvy & sexy, yes it feels good in your hand, and it is definitely quieter than the two other ear and nose trimmers I’ve used. But what hype, what profit margins, what marketing chops these people have created! It kind of makes me nauseous. They “recommend“ that you replace your blades (at $16.99(!) plus tax) every three months(!), for one thing, something I just noticed after buying. They hope you don’t wonder why they just don’t make their blades out of a stronger, higher quality metal… I had bought this same nose trimmer six months ago. It really didn’t work well for me, but I thought maybe I got a lemon, so, silly me, I bought a second one. I know—dumb. The second one is as ineffective as the first. It just doesn't cut my nose hairs. It's a struggle to get any little hairs removed. Their website is truly a master class in drawing you in to buy more product with subscriptions and bling (who wouldn’t want a “Manscaped“ t-shirt?). It’s very obviously all about the game. I honestly wouldn’t mind paying the big premium that is charged for this item if it actually worked well. But it does not. Insult to injury is the cost of replacement blades. I do not want to support this game. If you have Benjamins to burn (repeatedly, over years) then go ahead -- do you part to make some bros rich. They’re counting on you.
