I don't want to remember life before this product. Everything we did was a chore, and everything had to be well planned. My husband is 285lbs and prior to getting this electric wheelchair, I pushed him everywhere. Traveling was a pain and doctor's appointments were cumbersome. There were times when he tried walking, but he would be so exhausted and winded and even walking in segments took a toll on him. I really felt awful. After a trip to the beach, I decided that we needed to do something different and purchased his electric wheelchair. I don't know who has benefited more from this product, him or me. Trips are a breeze now and we have managed to get it through several flights without any issues. He has so much more independence than before. I will say that it can be a little heavy at times but the two of us putting it in the car together is a breeze. I have even gotten ramps to easily put in my SUV when I need to do it by myself with the remote. For someone with a smaller frame lifting this by themselves may be difficult. Other than that, we love, love, love this wheelchair. My husband loves the red and black color I selected, and he gets a lot of attention everywhere he goes and often showcases how easy it is to maneuver the chair. It takes practice but he is definitely a pro now. It has tons of storage and we have bought a few accessories such as cup holder and a light. This year we took it to several parks in Florida and there were no problems with keeping it charged. We went to a baseball game where we were in line for almost 2 hours. Before we would have left, but the chair made it possible to stay and see the game. We are able to be more active than ever before. We are both loving life. Bought May 22nd , 2022 This has made it possible for me to get around at work. With my bad knees getting around was painful. Now i am able to get around the building at all times. I am heavy at 365 and the chair is fast. People are always saying slow down while zipping around the office. I am going on a Alaska Cruise it 2 months and will be taking it incase I can't do the walking required. I like that you can slip the wheels into free wheel to allow it to be pushed as a wheel chair which almost makes it like a walker. When you get tired simply flip the lever on each motor and it becomes electric. I will give a update once I am done with the cruise. UPDATE 06/26/2023 Well I have had this chair for over a year now. After the Alaska cruise I can honestly say it did great as I weighed around 375lbs. plus we always had a day bag that we fastened to the back so we was well over 400lbs. the battery did die out after a few all day excursions but I brought the charger with me in the little pouch below and did a quick charge while we were eating or going on a boat ride or etc. I opted for a longer lasting battery once we got back from the cruise. I took it to the beach out in Grand Haven in Michigan and just using it as a power walker it would pull it self through the sand so I was able to walk with it hanging onto the rear bar and having my daughter use the remote control. It has been great. In October I flew to Detroit for a wedding in the Upper Peninsula and it worked flawlessly in the grass and gravel at the outside wedding venue. With the additionally longer use battery I was thankful as my flight was cancelled in Detroit but was able to get a connecting flight in Atlanta so I really gave the battery a workout going from One terminal to the other. Then once landing in Fort Lauderdale and getting my bag and making it to the car iI probably covered 15 miles easily. I can usually get 4-5 days of cruising around our office as well as the outside before needing to charge the battery. I am at 380 lbs. currently and it has no trouble pushing me around. I am getting ready to take it to Glacier National Park for 5 Days in July. And will report back after that. I did buy a 4" cushion to make it easier getting in and out of the chair. Thanks to this chair I have been able to do so many things that before I had it I would of had to pass on. Update July 21st just returned from 5 days at Glacier National Park and I was able to get down some dirt trails as well as wooded ones. it got me to the top of Logan Pass which was pretty steep for the chair. I’m very satisfied with my “outdoor” power wheelchair. Now I have the mobility outside my home that is lost with a push transfer chair. This one is indeed portable, making it possible to take anywhere. It is heavy; my husband handles it fine out of the car, but we wouldn’t want it any heavier. That said, my gain of mobility makes the heavier lift worth it. It’s comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time and goes well over stony trails. Battery life is long-lasting so far. Pockets on each arm and behind the seat are added conveniences. I’ve been in a chair for many years so I’ve tried many different types of chair. We purchased this wheelchair as a transport wheelchair. My husband is a recent double amputee and has a motor wheelchair at home. We were looking for a sturdy chair to have in our van for appointments and outings. It has a great weight limit. The battery stays charged for a long time. It easy to use and we get compliments everywhere he goes. It is heavy, so if you are not used to lifting heavy things you might want to test lifting this much weight. My other complaint is the motor controller, it is in the way for transfers. I have to take it off set it on the ground, he transfers, back up a bit then replace controller.
