We went on vacation, for my husband's birthday, and the rental had these. My husband served a meal in them and he loved how the food looked. Yeah, I know... odd. But he's a retired chef!! Food is art for him and these large bowl "plates" are now his canvas, courtesy of our son, who jumped at the chance to get them for his birthday!! I find them hard to cut meats in so I prefer a plate when it isn't pasta, but he'd prefer to serve everything in them!! They're large, deep, but not cereal bowl deep, so they make amazing pasta bowls.
