I was taking a chance buying a cheap lamp on amazon without seeing it in person, but for the price, I thought what the hell! I was very pleased once assembled. It is very solid and doesn't sag at all. The lampshade is very nice, I actually bought it with the intention of having to replace it, but now I don't have to! It looks great in the living room and casts the perfect light for my needs. The only annoying thing about the lamp is that it's very difficult to adjust. I was looking for a very large overarching floor lamp and this was the largest available as of 11.04.22. Pros: It looks more expensive than what is was. Large overarching. The base is a nice marble. Easy to adjust. Cons: For reference, I’m a master IKEA builder however these installation instructions were the worst! My girlfriend and I almost gave up twice because instructions were written in the most confusing way. We believed they messed up on the parts, which is why the package has so many stickers saying to call them before returning. There’s actually two separate pages of instructions, for either the pole setup or the lamp shade setup, which you can tell were written by two different people because one is written instructions and the other is just photos. It’s just a mess. However once it was set up I was satisfied with the product. They just need to redo the instructions and this would easily be a 5-star product. ... show more

It was a bit of a chore to shorten the arc to fit out needs (you have to pull the cord out while sliding one part of the pole into the other, but we are thrilled. The unique shade is attractive and we've received many compliments about our solution for not being able to have a lamp for the center part of our new sectional. We have a smart bulb in the lamp so it is dimable and we can even change the color of the light, but even on bright white and 100% is it not glaring. The arc is high enough that even our 6'1" son-in law can sit down and get up and doesn't even come close to bumping his head on the shade. All in all we are very please with the lamp. ... show more

Have a dolly on hand to move the box! The marble base means business. I can barely budge it when I need to move it around my living room which I just choose not to do. Set it and forget it!

This was the tallest arc lamp I could find on Amazon and was advertised at 81 inches. With our ceilings being 84 inches, I assumed it would be 3 inches from the ceiling. In reality, not so much. I have a very tall husband and rooms with no ceiling lights so I was looking for something which could illuminate the room from the switch-controlled outlet which would mimic a ceiling light while being high enough to provide head clearance for my husband. The arc on this lamp is more than I expected and being 69 inches tall myself, the shade was right in my face. We had to manipulate this by installing a ceiling hook and snapping the top of the arc into the hook pull the fixture up to the height we needed. It worked and doesn't look awful, but it was an unexpected extra step to get the solution we were looking for. ... show more

Love this lamp! it makes our living room look bigger and more luxurious. was unsure if the base would hold the lamp up at first but it does great! the only downside is we hit our heads on it when walking by. the further you have the lamp extended out the lower it hangs due to weight. not a deal breaker for us but may be for some. ... show more

Exactly what we needed- something with an extra large shade, a heavy/solid/sturdy base, and a far reach over the sectional sofa. Because of the height no one bumps into it with their head when walking around, sitting down or standing up. This would easily be five stars BUT the adjustable arch was a bit of a pain because we had a hard time getting it to move. Finally got got it moved, and having that feature is great to be able to make it work perfectly for the space. As others have mentioned the on/off switch is a pedal on the floor by the base, but we solved that problem by using an Alexa Smart Bulb, so now we can turn it on/off, dim or brighten it without even getting up 😂🤷🏼♀️…gotta love modern technology. ... show more

I was afraid that maybe because of the 81" arc, the lamp would be flimsy or unstable, but this is not the case at all. The (very) heavy base makes it very stable, and it looks great. The only "flaw" is the lampshade. It wraps around and connects with velcro strips and little metal clips at the top and bottom. As a result, there is a very noticeable seam, and the top and bottom are not perfectly straight. ... show more
