  • IMPRESSIVE!!! Great magnifier for close up work!!
Style: Battery Magnifying Visor
I REALLY like this product. It comes with multiple magnifying clip in plastic visor panels, has a super bright white LED (adjustable beam level, fixed brightness), and is a minimal styling for these types of products. I can't tell you the number of times when I wear my other magnifiers that they have come down onto the bridge of my nose with the more traditional units. The design shifts the weight farther up on your face and distributes weight evenly. This is lightweight (takes 3-AAA batteries makes it a little bit heavier), well balanced on the nose bridge, and the best design I have used by far to this point. The fit on your face is tight and the unit doesn't move around - although they include a glasses strap in case you wish to double make sure it won't come off. One big plus is that the clip in panels are self contained and can easily be swung upwards when not in use, or easily changed out with different powers. The design also allows you to see around the magnifying panes easily - so you can look at documentation for example outside of the magnified field area. This is a REALLY GOOD BUY. ... show more

  • Very functional!
Style: Battery Magnifying Visor
Great product for its money. I have experience with Optivisor. It is difficult to compare the quality of glasses, since the glasses in them are located in different ways, but the quality is decent both there and there. I have a good working light, so I don't need flashlights in these glasses, they are just extra weight for me (and that's without batteries!). But for some it might be very useful. If there was another model, without lights at all, I would prefer it. But this is not critical. When you put on the glasses, it seems that because of the lighting unit they have a bad balance and they can fall. But in reality, the glasses fit well and are stable. I have seen complaints about stiff nose mounts and this is true. They are made of thin steel with a rubber or silicone frame. But they are straight and hard. Therefore, due to the weight of the glasses, after prolonged use, marks on the nose and nose skin are unpleasant, even a little painful. I took the round-nose pliers and straightened these parts a little and gave them a semicircular shape. It took 30 seconds and solved all problems. I think the manufacturer should take note of this. In general, the glasses are very functional and comfortable. Glasses are easy and simple to change, and their block is well regulated in two joints. I like that they are not closed like the Optivisor, which allows me to glance over the glasses without removing them when I am looking for some tool on the table outside the working area. In general, for its price it is a very good device and worth every cent spent. I'm glad I purchased it. ... show more

  • Easily fits over my prescription glasses and works with them!
Style: Battery Magnifying Visor
When I opened the package I was impressed with the neatness of the contents. A spot for everything. The included storage container for the clip in lenses was very nice. Protecting the lenses is essential and these are safe and secure when not being utilized. The head strap to avoid the "system" from falling off was a big plus. BUT THE BEST FEATURE -- I can slip these on and off without disturbing my prescription glasses! Working with small electronics, I am continually switching between a magnified view and my normal glasses. The unenclosed visor type lens arrangement is perfect, to allow me to instantly go back to my normal reading, without struggling to remove and then find my glasses again. I really like this convenience. The light source powered by 3 AAA batteries is very bright, and is balanced very well. Much effort appears to have gone into this design. I have used other magnifiers, but these are most suitable for my use. The very high magnification "watch maker" loupes are very powerful, but require extreme proximity and so are useless for soldering tasks. Medical loops or binocular lenses with two eye loops are difficult to keep both eyes focused on the same point. (Annoying for me). I've used headband magnifiers for years, but they are bulky and seem to be sweat producers for my forehead! I've used illuminated desk stand magnifiers and those are pretty effective, but at times it's not possible to bring the job to the mountain or the mountain to the job. And moving that big pantograph like arm is annoying when it won't stay on "the sweet spot". These will be my prime magnifiers of choice for many jobs. The others I have will be used, but none can compare with these for utility and ease of use or comfort. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Good for close up work-can't wear reg glasses with it
Style: Rechargeable Magnifying Visor
I purchased these after another version arms broke. I do miss being able to lift up the lenses, and set them further away so I can wear my reg glasses with them. (On a track system). The rubber headband was a good addition because it keeps it snug without falling off. The screw on one of the arms will not tighten, so wearing the rubber headband is a must. Light seems ok..it is a bit more comfortable than what I had, but the real con is not wearing my prescription glasses with this unit. ... show more

  • Works better than expected
Style: Rechargeable Magnifying Visor
I make custom fishing rods and have struggled a bit since I started needing readers. My wife has loupes due to her job, but the focal area is too small. I though that due to the wide viewing area and the LED lighting these might work, and the price was right to take a chance on them. The multiple lenses and the lights are perfect for what I needed. ... show more
