Not a flaw to mention on the Eotech G45. I registered it and look forward to many good years of shooting fun. It’s solid, rugged, and doesn’t add any noticeable weight to the firearm. The Quick Detachable base is easy to manipulate and when re-attached, it’s solid and secure with no wiggle play in it. I was hoping the clarity of this would have been not far behind a prism, or close enough to an LPVO that I could keep it to use on my newest bullpup. It was close to a prism, but definitely (as I already knew) a noticeable step below a variable optic. Decent magnifier, awesome build, and not bad for the price at all. I think the Aimpoint 6x is much clearer, but it’s over twice the cost of this, so I think the value is there for the Eotech. Performance to price, this should be your pick. ... show more

Bought to replace Sig Juliette 3× magnifier. Better eye relief, better mounting option, better magnification. Recieved it on time, new in box. No complaints. Glass is clear, and it is built to last. I had a vortex 3x version of a magnifier and I loved it. The slight magnification was a game changer for my red dot and it was perfect, but the eye relief was too short to use back up irons. Long story short, eotech has better glass and I love the higher magnification. The eye relief is long enough that I can comfortable keep back up iron sights on the rifle and still use this. The adjustment dials are a bit more loose than I want them to be, but the quick detach lever just makes this magnifier that much better. When I don't want it on my rifle, it pops right off, and I can easily pop it back on without losing zero and save a bit of weight. Absolutely love it and would recommend this over the G34 3X version any day. ... show more

I've found that this magnifier is meant to work best with the quick detach type sights with the side buttons like the exps, 518, or 558. I also have a G33 magnifier and I've found that one is meant to work with the lower profile, fixed-mount type with the buttons on the back. They will still work either way but this g45 lines up perfectly with the side button, quick-detach type. The G33 is easier to find and more stable and if I could only have one it would be the G33 but I also don't regret putting this G45 on a heavier and less mobile setup. Probably the best red dot magnifier on the market. You saw it here first. Those that say, even including eotech, that the mount is left handed are full misinformation. The mount is not left handed, if you expect it to mount in the same exact position from a red dot device or similar optic. Yes you can mount the optic for left handed use, but the lever on the mount will get in the way of an eotech holographic site. So to get around this, you need to mount it further back. Therefore, because you need to mount it further back for left handed operation, I do not consider this a left handed setup that is equal to a right handed setup. Original Eotech box sealing sticker was cut open. The magnifier had obvious sign of previous usage. Mounting screws with white marks were inside a plastic bag that was heat-sealed unevenly! No buyer deserves to receive retuned used merchandise instead of brand new.
