This was number one on my daughter's Christmas list. She was so excited to add this to her mixie collection. The whole process of releasing the genie is so cute. The cauldron was previously our favorite but I think this one beats it (a lot less messier too) the mixie that comes out is interactive and repeats its name. I think this is the best one yet. She's been playing with it non stop since Christmas and we.still havent had to reuse the smoke. My daughters both have one. They love how it functions. They’ve had their lamps for 5 months and play with them weekly and it still works great. It has a pretty decent battery life. It is quite loud so if you need for it to be quiet make sure the kids aren’t right next to you lol the smell is quite strong. It is probably the one and only thing I do not appreciate about the toy. I have an air purifier and when the “potion” comes out of the spout in the form of vapor, it makes the air quality on my purifier turn red which is a little concerning. So if you let your little one play with it make sure it is in an open space with a window open. Other than that it was worth the value. ... show more

    • Large Genie Lamp is difficult
The Genie lamp looks very cool but has too many steps to get it open and the Magic Mixie to pop out. The Mixie is not easily put back in the lamp either. This should be good for OVER age 8.

My5 year old daughter loved it. She uses it all the time. She memorized the steps after a few times of helping her with it. The smell of the smoke is a little gross so definitely do it in an open area or a room with a lot of ventilation.
