I've been shopping for a bedspread for some time, and couldn't find anything I liked at a price point that I felt was reasonable. I couldn't stand the "comforter look" anymore - having to deal with bed skirts and tucking in sheets every morning so they didn't hang beyond the comforter. I wanted everything covered! This bedspread really exceeded my expectations. The size is perfect for my king size bed, and the look and feel of it is so upscale. It is a little heavy in weight, but I expect that for the size. I don't use it as a blanket - I still have my comforter underneath, which is more than enough for hot flash city over here. I also have not used the accompanying pillows because I don't need one more thing to take off my bed before I collapse at the end of my long days. Just opened and placed on my bed. It's beautiful and much heavier than expected. Very well made and the colors go perfectly with the room. I'm very frugal and last bedspread I bought was 10 years ago. Couldn't believe how hard it was to find a bedspread and not a comforter, or a coverlet. I wanted something that covered my whole bed and not just the mattress. It took alot of searching but so worth it.
