Beginning freshwater fishing with my kids so their rod and reel combos had very basic kits. Needed more options but nothing crazy elaborate yet, so I tried the 181 piece kit. I was shocked how compact the case was and began to worry. As I opened and looked through it got impressive they organized everything into such a compact kit. I love the fact that this has a locking lid for each compartment! I have to say, pleasantly surprised by this kit. Had I know I think I would have tried 196 or 214 with the lure. Personally I prefer the foam floats, they seem more durable and float better than the hollow plastic ones that get water in and have to be drained out at times which is a pain. Otherwise, if your kit needs a boost of handy essentials but don't want to spend a lot, this is it. ... show more

Love how neatly organized everything is and how small the box is, it fits in the bottom of my tackle box perfectly. However there isn’t as much as you think in there. I’ve only been fishing 4 or 5 times and I’m running low on certain types of hooks.

I like how this is super compact and complete for a nice starter to intermediate pan fish kit. It has some of the best baits for those pan fish.
