Bought these in size 2, 4, and 6. (250 hooks!) Use for finesse bass fishing for small smallmouth. They seem to hold as well as any other hook, and seem sharp enough. I smash the barbs for all my fishing (it’s safer for both fish and angler and can improve the hook set as well). In the photos they look identical to Gamakatsu hooks, but they are not. I find this to be deceptive advertising. My second (related) complaint is that the way these barbs are cut is old school, creating a thick barb that doesn’t really punch down all the way. From size, shape and finish these are consistent. They work well with 4# through 40# test line. Very good.
