I bought this as an emergency back-up to my wireless mouse and trackpad. The other day, I had issues where my wireless devices would not communicate with my computer. It was then I decided I needed a wired mouse for an emergency, so I could plug it in and open menus to troubleshoot the problem. This mouse is well made and at a decent price. This product was great, ergonomically suited for late night papers. I never tired of using the mouse. However, after using wired mouses for so long, I have upgraded to wireless mouses now. This mouse was perfect for the time, but I would never use a wired mouse again. But this unit worked.

    • Good while it lasted
This mouse was very satisfactory until it wasn't. It was admittedly low end and inexpensive. It tracked just fine and clicked just fine. What began to spell its doom was the clicking. Not the point-and-click, but the noise. My wife and I got two of these when we started doing a podcast together. When we eventually got some good mics, I noticed we were recording every mouse click, of which there were many as we moved through various pages for the slope content. Anyway, that got annoying to the sound editor, me. But that's really no fault of the mouse in general. Then my wife's mouse started acting erratically and functioning poorly, and we replace it. Not long after the same happened to mine. That was only about two and a half years in. Like I said, I know it was a cheap buy, but I thought even a cheap MacAlly mouse would last longer than that. ... show more
