I bought this rod for 50% off on prime day. I was skeptical about its quality being that I’ve seen many similar designed Chinese rods on AliExpress. But I figured I would take a chance at $50. When I received it I was very pleased and surprised at the quality. I took it out fishing in my local bay the next day and it did not disappoint!     • Really impressive
I build my own high end rods and I saw this just scrolling through Amazon. It was 28 bucks on sale for the 2 piece medium. I figured it would make a good loner rod, just the guides alone would cost me 15 bucks. Once I got it in hand I wasn’t disappointed at all. This rod could easily compete in the 100 price range. I paired it to a genius bfs reel and took it out today throwing light jerkbaits. There is no difference between this rod and any rod up to the 200 dollar mark in sensitivity . It’s more sensitive than any 30 rod should be, I was bumping rocks. I’d say the 6’8” med is on the lighter side, which I like anyway. Honestly it may not be a loner rod anymore. It’s probably just going to be a river smallie kayaking rod, that I won’t be sad about if it breaks. I looked other reviews and I’d guess that most of the breakages are shipping issues. I also wouldn’t high stick or boat flip with this rod, but I don’t do that with any rod. ... show more

The quality is very respectable. For a 7'3" Heavy rated rod, it is a bit thinner than I expected, but the stiffness is still there. Light as well, for the price the construction is excellent! I'll definitely be buying more.

Got this rod and wasn't expecting much, needed something while my nicer Daiwa rod is being repaired. I've paired it up with multiple BFS and normal baitcasters and I really like the versatility in this rod. Sensitivity feels good, backbone is good for it's power. Fast action means fast action which I appreciate, not whippy near the center of the blank. Also visually appealing, showing off the quality materials. The quality and attention to detail on this rod is too notch. It's crazy to think 40 bucks for this. Better than most rods double triple even quadruple the price . It's light, well balanced, looks nice, great ergonomics and very sensitive. Could feel bass bites real good. Definitely recommend.
