I had an electrician install it. It seemed to work fine and charged at the advertised rate. When I disconnected the plug, the unit turned red with an error message any a control pilot and short-circuit. The unit won't charge now. Sept 8 2022, Saw Costco sell these so I gave it a shot, Went to Homedepot and bought a 10/3 tools cable and a dryer plug to make the connection. Easy to install if you read the instruction. I used this to charge a BMW X5 Xdrive45e to fully charge from empty in 5hrs. Would be faster for other EV. Revise: 09/22/2022 after a few weeks of usage, one of the locking clip is broken, so i decided to drop a star due to production quality ... show more

This charger has good features…when they work. I’ve had this charger 4 months now and when I bought it it didn’t come with the 14-50 nema plug, I see now it does. Unfortunately for me I had to buy that separately. The app is my real complaint about this product. It was working up until a few weeks ago. It started not reporting the charging, then the charger disappeared from the app and now it won’t let me log in at all. I’m really disappointed with the entire thing. ... show more

CHARGER BURNED UP AFTER I USED IT 2 TIMES. MY ELECTRICIAN TOLD ME THIS CHARGER IS A REAL PIECE OF JUNK. MADE WITH INFERIOR COMPONENTS.

No response from support. I've been trying to contact them for over a month. A very poorly written manual. Untrustworthy terminal blocks, which don't make good contact with the wires. Charging cable is undersized. These are not 6AWG copper. Maybe 4. I didn't have calipers to measure before installing. This is not UL listed: ETL will tell you it is the same as UL; don't buy it; it's not. Tried multiple devices, but the app fails to connect, so I can't reduce the amperage to the 48A allowed under a 60 amp breaker. Even the verification email has dead image links. This is going back. I can't believe folks are selling this thing, or the danger they're creating by defaulting to a 50 amp limit. Pros: looks pretty, nice display but no interactivity, since no app and no other buttons than a proximity thing to wake up the display. One of the question answerers advised folks to not put it on a GFCI: this advice is dangerous. I ran it on a 60 Amp GFCI. It works. Return any device which does not work on a GFCI immediately. Don't trust the manufacturer's built in GFCI that isn't UL listed. I'm assuming they put as much effort into it as they do responding to support emails and keeping their infrastructure up to date (zero effort). ... show more
