I've been searching several months for a small affordable pet gate and when this one popped up in my search, I knew it was the one. The second bedroom in my home is where I do my stretching exercises. The floor has two stacked rugs and a couple of soft blankets. It's very comfortable for me to work out, but my cat really likes it as well. I have to leave the door open because for some reason this room doesn't get enough air flow and gets really hot in the summer. This gate is very high quality and is easy to move around. It looks really nice and it keeps the cat out of the room as well. I suspect some pets could jump over it because it's about mid-thigh height for me. But my cat hasn't figured it out yet. I needed a gate to keep our dog out of our sunroom, saw this one and loved it! It’s not cheap looking at all- some of the plastic ones look so cheap-since it was going to be in a central place I wanted one that looked nice. This one did just that! You can fold it and slide it between the couch and wall when not in use. But it looks nice when just left in the doorway. No need to screw it in place so you can remove it whenever you want and there is no damage. It is solid wood so it looks a little nicer than the big white plastic ones- which also distract from the beauty of your rooms. Definitely recommend. ... show more

I have a blind senior cat who travels back and forth between upstairs bedrooms. This gate is perfect to keep her from accidentally falling down the stairs. It stands upright on its own, though we wedge it against the stair railing & wall for added stability. It came with pads for the gate “feet”, so it will not scratch our hardwood flooring.
