As hearing amplifiers, this product does a good job. It has good battery life and I had no problems with them losing power. They work as expected in terms of amplifying sounds. The product documentation does indicate that there an adjustment period of 1-3 months to get used to them. This is indeed the case. It took about a month for me to truly get comfortable with them. My biggest complaint is that they are very prone to feedback. When taking them out of the case, they scream. As you put them in your ears, they scream. You try to adjust them in your ears, they scream. You take them out of your ears, they scream. If they are in their case sitting on a table, they might scream. I've tried the hints included in the documentation but they did not seem to help. That said, as long as they are in your ears and you don't touch them, they work well. There are three volume levels. I would have preferred to have more as low is not enough and medium is overwhelming even after the adjustment period. When taking them out of the case, they turn on and they are by default on medium. To get turn them low, it is necessary to cycle through high. I would have like to have them remember their previous setting. They can connect to a phone via Bluetooth . In my opinion, this feature is not complete as they act like a pair of speakers. It is hit and miss when I receive a phone call as to whether or not it comes through the product. Even if it does, the product does not allow one to answer the call as can be done with a cheap pair of ear buds from Ollies. The biggest annoyance with the Bluetooth is that the product will stop amplifying if there is any sound coming from the phone. It makes sense but every time I receive a notification, the amplification will stop for 5-10 seconds. These hearing aids work really really well. They have active noise cancelling, but also active noise amplification. When you switch them on, they're automatically in amplification mode. There are three volume levels, but that's all you can change. As far as I could figure out, they amplify all kinds of sounds equally. Hearing people talk is easy, even if they're in the next room. But handling paper (like the instruction manual for the earphones) in front of you is very loud, you can hear each crinkle. When sliding my hands over my knees, I can hear the rasping of my palms against the fabric of my pants. Don't clap your hands while wearing these, they amplify everything, they don't tune out loud noises like shooting earmuffs do. To get them into active noise cancelling mode, simply connect them to your phone (the Bluetooth connection is very simple) and start playing audio. As soon as you press play, all outside sound vanishes and you can focus on the music. What's really nifty is that I can put them in, put on a podcast or some music and start working in the garage. The noise cancelling works really well while the music is playing. When someone wants to talk to me, I press pause and amplification mode comes on again, then I can actually hear what they're saying. Pros: Really good amplification Good sound quality for music (bass goes down to below 30Hz) Easy setup and Bluetooth connection Lightweight and comfortable One charge lasts for eight hours, and you can recharge by simply placing them in the box (charge the box from the wall every three charges) Build quality and materials feel really good Comes with a charging brick. Most electronics nowadays just come with the cable. Or not even that. Cons: No way to manually switch between amplification and noise cancellation modes No phone app (though this could be a pro as well) Sounds in front of you within arms length are over-amplified a bit Amplifies all sounds, even loud sounds If there were half stars I would give these 4.5 since they amplify all sounds. You can't talk to someone while standing next to the sea, since the wave noise will be too loud. But 4 stars would be too low. These have great sound for listening to music via Bluetooth. I am 50% deaf in both ears so as far as hearing people in conversation, it is more difficult than my fancy hearing aids. However they do work well and they do not have the annoying feedback sound when anything gets close to the hearing aid. They are a bit bulky as they stick out quite a bit from the ear, I tried laying down with them on and they are not comfortable for that. They fit nicely in my ear though and they don’t feel like they would fall out easily. Overall, I recommend this hearing aid. ... show more

Bought these for my dad and the quality is very bad. He can't put them in without them having interference and making a debilitating scream. He is already suffering from cancer and these did not make anything better.

    • High pitched screeching noise
These kinda suck I sent them back. They have a high pitch noise we couldn't fix. And if ur listening to music or anything through them it on the bluetooth it cancels out the hearing for everything around you, which I get might be hard to include both at the same time. Just didn't work like I thought they would. ... show more
