  • Great gadget
I love it, it makes planting very easy. Totally worth it.

  • Green base, not the best color choice for very tiny seeds
I would have enjoyed this unit if the base had a white interior vs green, found it hard to manage/sow tiny seeds.

  • saves money
After you get use to it, by tapping or jiggling it back and forth, depending on the seeds. You can spread the seeds more even. Carrot seeds are very small and I believe you have a lot less waste of seeds using this. Seeds are very expensive and spreading them more evenly stops that waste. Plus, being able to fill the cap and take it outside, is better then taking a package out. Save on the seeds getting wet or dirty or the package spelling all over the ground. Is worth trying. It has five different setting, from very small to corn seed size. ... show more

  • over priced. Expensive for what it is.
It works ok but is cheap made and very overpriced

  • Works very well
I find this a useful gadget for home gardeners that plant their own seeds. Only downside is that it is way overpriced for what it is. Made of cheap plastic and would be a great buy if it was priced under $5. Since I did not see anything else, I bought it anyway and it works great. Maybe someone can find one cheaper in a home or garden store. ... show more

  • Luster Leaf Dial Seed Sower
I had one that I misplaced, and really relied on it for starting seed. It's very useful for a small grower, as the seeds can easily be spaced in starter cells, and the various sized holes allow for different sized seeds. I go according to the seed company's prediction of germination and put a number of seeds per cell to meet the odds. ... show more

  • Well thought out small seed planter
This seeder has a numbered clear dome with ascending seed sized openings, from completely closed (0) increasing in steps to (5), which looks to be about 3/8" diameter, a pretty large seed would fit through that one. I use a push planter for bigger stuff, but very small seeds may be controlled and dropped as you would want to drop them with this small seeder. It is not too large for your hand and the dome comes off easily to fill the body with seeds, and the dome reinstalls just as easily. All told it is a helpful too for small seed planting. ... show more

  • Handy tool
While it is not perfect I found the seed sower very beneficial in planting. It did clog occasionally and spit our an extra see or two but nothing is perfect. All it it took to clear it was a flip of the wrist.
